if you are in an area that has slow network or congested network or just plain ole crappy LTE, 3G, etc, then Siri will be sluggish, slow to respond and even seem locked up.

Is there a way to reduce the map zoom level while you're driving?

 

This is what I did:

 

1) I tap the screen to display the map controls.

2) Now I can see the + and - buttons,  and there is a red crosshair on the screen where I tapped. It thinks I'm trying to add a waypoint.

3) I press the "-" button several times to zoom out.

4) I press the back button to get rid of the controls, and to take me about of the "add waypoint" mode.

5) Now the zoom is back where it was before I started.

 

How can I just zoom out?

I haven't tried it after the update, but before the update u are seeing the bug the rest of us had seen. I'll check again

Car play = lightning cable only and usb setting

Appradio mode= av adapter and av setting

Since the update my pandora seems to cut in and out lately. Never happened before the update

Can't play sd card in rear if u have CarPlay connected.

So with the update, you can no longer play sd card in rear monitors if you are using carplay, that really bites.

So when I take the long trips with the kids I guess I'll be using pioneer nav so they can watch a movie in the rear from my sd card

Did you follow,the correct steps. Format the drive, copy the folder not the individual files, turn off av, then try the update and is it an SDHC CARD

Make sure to be plugged in with lightning cable only in usb 1 and make sure your settings are correct in phone settings on ur Nex.

The best practice is format ur drive and then copy the folder, not the files individually

I fight with Siri to work too sometimes, you have to time it just right

After a few days of use, I will agree phone calls are tinny, but volume is relevant to how you adjust the caller volume.

Are you plugged into usb 1 directly with no adapter av adapter and in the settings for phone connection are correctly set?

I've had mine since tje 1st month of release, and I've been pretty active on this site, I don't recall anyone bringing up a popping sound with their Nex unit

Honestly, I think I'm going to start my in dash iPad mini project, that's the best alternative

Yup, it absolutely sucks, it will not differentiate moderate or heavy, I turned it off

Disappointed car play is late, very upset about AVICSync, but still enjoying my nex

Would rather wait for a nice polished product, than get the quirky, appradio

Still no problems, but I like the hey Siri feature, and she definitely understands me better

Class action law suit,, the only ones that win are the lawyers lol

iOS 8 on iPhone 5s

Pandora using cable works fine

Phone calls though Blue tooth works fine
