  1. Ok, thanks for the help asd255 I did find that the base map is the only content that is active in the "white". All of the POI, Landmarks and such are all marked "inactive" and "red". License issue maybe?
  2. And yet another option that is low cost that I use on my AVH-x5600 is a single pole double throw rocker switch. Wire the green from the HU to the center terminal, and ground wire to either of the other 2 terminals. Mount switch in inconspicuous place with easy access. After HU is powered flip the switch off then on. Viola, tricks the HU into thinking the Pbrake is on.
  3. Reply is more than vague. The seller of what? The internal sd, Pioneer or Naviextras? As stated the new internal sd fixed the boot loop and all functions worked. The firmware update is what wiped out the map function. Please elaborate. Thanks, Dartholds442
  4. There are videos on youtube showing how to remove the password from avic units. HTH.
  5. Hi, New here and need help. I bought an 8000nex stuck in a boot loop, got a new internal sd from ebay that fixed the boot loop and everything worked. Today I updated the firmware from 1.08 to 1.21. Update went perfect. Bluetooth update was next and also went perfect. All update instructions followed to the letter. Now the GPS shows terrain but no roads. Zoom level changes nothing. Can not input an address either, keyboard comes up and keys are grayed out. Go to Naviextras toolbox and find a 2014q2 update for free. Download and update. problems remain. Any ideas? Anyone else have these pro
