I know you warned me before I called support and believe me, prior to calling them, I went with the fully aware attitude that they would most likely know 99.9 percent less than me, but it was still worth a shot. And don't worry about your risk of repeating yourself because I have been doing it over and over in this thread. The most repetitive being that if the disc worked wrong like this from the beginning, I'd have given up by now. But with the risk of repeating myself as you say....The disc worked fine for almost 2 months so I know it CAN work correctly but for some reason is now not. An

Just bumping to see if any more readers experienced this. I called support and they knew nothing! So frustrating as it worked fine for a while and now this.

Funny thing is it was working correctly for a month, then stopped. Maybe I'll call tech support!

Thanks for the replies. I checked the region and I am set correctly to Region 6 which includes Chicago. I typed in Menards today which is a mile from my house and it wanted me to drive all the way to Eastern Indiana. WTF?? Other suggestions? Thanks

Hello all, I believe this is probably a setting somewhere in the unit, but whenever I type in a POI, or destination...it calculates a route that is anywhere between 200-400 miles away, rather than what may be a block away. It always seems to want to take me to Ohio, from Chicago. No thanks, not for a Taco Bell! It is a copy of the Nav disc I burned last week, so maybe that could be a problem somehow, although everything else seems correct. Last question, what happens if I take the unit back to factory settings in the nav settings menu? What does that do? Thanks! Ciao
  6. To lose your preset list and see the song title, etc...just push the detail button, well not really a button, but you get the idea.
  7. You know, the only things bothering me about the touchscreen is #1 my fat fingers and #2 the oils from fingers. My solution, take extra care and use a pencil eraser!
  8. You got it!!!!! Thanks man! I knew if the topic stayed on top long enough someone would know the solution!!!! Have a STAR!!! (As Yahoo would say!) By the way, like the screen name. You a DJ? My kind o hobby! Ciao
  9. Well I'm not sure if it is an XM thing, so therefore I didn't include it in the heading. I thought maybe when someone saw the topic, they may have seen it with the D3 or XM or a combination of both. I guess my topic should have said what is with this 24/7 warning that pops up so frequently with my XM/Ipod/D3/Two Subwoofer/4 Pioneer door speakers/everything else stock 2008 Silverado, dark Metallic blue and spare tire not yet stolen! Boy, tough crowd on this forum! Thanks and Ciao
  10. You know, that "stupid thing" lol Funny, but I thought my topic description would have said what "this thing" means!! Ciao
  11. The warning that pops up on the D3 to tune to channel 24/7 or 247 on XM radio when there is a weather warning or child abduction or an earthquake or a mailbox stolen or a theft at the local grocery or a skidmark left by a car on the road or someone picked a blade of grass!!!!. That's how annoying it is! It may be an XM feature most likely, but I thought to ask here since quite a few have XM! Thanks Ciao
  12. How do I trun this stupid thing off on my D3?????? It pops up like a pop up ad on a computer every 20 seconds or so!!!
