  2. did you prep the avic first? it should disconnect from the phone, then you go to the bluetooth menu, make sure you highlight the AVIC THEN press options > send name card. i know tis there!
  3. go to the bluetooth menu on the phone, highlight the avic, hit options, and then "send name card"
  4. the PAC SWI interface modules will only let you do basic audio functions...didnt see anything indicating that it would let you control any other buttons. you can use the bluetooth buttons for audio functions, such as mute and such, but you cant use the "answer" button to answer calls on the AVIC. This is why i have the PAC SWI-PS AND the CD-SR1 remote. Abe

  6. try this: on the nav phone menu: "read bus card" (and then the connection disconnects) On the blackberry go to the bluetooth menu, highlight the nav device name, press the menu button, scroll down to transfer phonebook and follow logical steps Does that work? Abe
  7. you are correct, Verizon and sprint do NOT need/work with the 1 in front of the numbers. However, the vx8700/8800 have an issue with the software that causes this to happen. Same thing in the Lexus cars...no caller ID from these 2 phones.. Abe
  8. Hey guys, here is the report: Entire phonebook will transfer (upto 400 ofcourse) CALLER ID DOES NOT WORK. This is a flaw with the phone not the nt-bt1 or Avic. every call will come through as "unknown id". You have to look at the phone to see caller id. Will let you know if this changes! Abe
  9. Hey guys! Im brand new to this forum! Looking forward to it! Anyway, a little history. I own a company that specializes in Bluetooth integration for Lexus. I will be testing various Verizon phones and posting results for you guys on how they work with the Avic Z2 im about to order. Question for you.. Most people mount the GPS antenna either on the dash or somewhere near it. Reading the install guide, they recommend it be OUTSIDE the car. Some have gotten away with installing it under the dash.
