  1. My AVIC is a US Version (The front panel shows XM Traffic). I am based in Paris. Regarding the Region Code, I am afraid it is not applicable to the GPS map, as this is a DATA DVD, not a VIDEO DVD. The AVIC is looking into DVI.DAT before reading the data. As replacing the original DVI.DAT on the european Map by the US version works partially, it proves that Region Code should not help.
  2. Because Avic D3 cost more than 2000$ in France (!!) with the current exchange rate. We are used to pay up to 30% more, but 3 times more really hurts. Thus, any help (firmware update, file description for KWI, DVI,...) would be much appreciated.
  3. Getting ride of the region code will certainly not help. Playing with DVI.DAT on the European DVD file shows the European map starting at the Arc the triomphe, but entering a destination is tricky.
  4. Hi Bruno, You might want to use Divx instead of DVD. Probably the easiest to workaround the zoning issue... rgds, Pierre
