I installed the AVIC-D1 in my C5 Corvette Z06, and as you know, it takes a LOT of customizing to get the double-din unit in a C5. I really like some of the new feature of the D3, does anyone know if it will fit directly into the same chassis and maybe even use the same wiring? I used the trim Bezel of the D1 molded into the modified center console so make a perfect fit, and welded and bolted the basket/chassis into place. I don't know if the new D3 uses a close enough trim ring (plastic snap-on bezel) and chassis/basket design to easily accomodate the switch.
