i am ordering the Z2 to install in my 2000 navigator. i am new on here and have been reading all these different mods people are doing. please advise me if there is anything that needs to be done prior to installing it. do i need to do some kind of software update? i want to be able to play dvd and/or gps while driving and also using steering wheel controls with unit

hey all, new guy here. i was pulled between the z2 and the d3 but i am going to go with the z2 since it has the built in hard drive for gps. anyways... i have a couple questions. 1) what is the part called to make my steering wheel controls work? 2) can i play the gps and/or dvd while driving on trips? if not, how do i fix this? 3)is the price difference worth if for the z2 compared to the d3? thanks all
