Ok...I am having a problem today with my AVIC....the screen will not open. I have read the owners manual and well it is worthless. I have removed the face plate and replace...nothing. I have turned vehicle on and off...no luck. I have reset the unit...and no luck....so any clues what to do next? I have the product replacement plan from best buy...so thinking of just going back to best buy on Friday and having them replace it...but I know they will want to "bench" test it....anything you can think I should do before taking it to them?

Hello all...I am curious if anyone has installed a camera on the back of a fifth wheel and ran it into their AVIC? I have the N2 and have a back up camera on my truck. However with my new fifth wheel I would like to install a camera on the back of the beast. Can this be done? if so does anyone have a good source for "waterproof" AV cables that could run from the back of the trailer to a plug in the bed of my truck? From the bed of the truck I would run to a switch near the brain of the AVIC so I can choose between the Truck Camera and the Trailer camera. Any help is appreciated.

I have an AVIC N2 and bought it at Best Buy this past summer. I bought the 4 year warranty on the unit and would like to see if anyone knows of a "non destructive" way to "naturally fry" the unit? Would like to update to the AVIC N3....and don't really want to spend the cash to do it. Any thoughts?
