OK... So I am trying to finalize my install and I am getting frustrated because I have a little bit of noise (static hum & clicking when I press the volume up/down) Here is how I ran my wires: Driver side: power, remote Passenger side: sub RCA Patch, Speaker RCA, & both front speaker wires (i ran the door speaker wire across the dash and down the right side) Here is my wiring set up: Head Unit Power Harness and what each is spliced to “standard†refers to the regular function to function connection from h/u harness to vehicle adapter harness. “Capped†ref

I put all of my DIVX movies on my SD Card and they don't work. I used these same files burned to a DVD on my Avic D3, so I know they are the correct format. I have done a search and haven't really found a straight answer so... Can you play videos/ Movies off of a SD Card?

What is the advantage of this cable over my iPod USB cable? I plugged it in and had a 3.5mm plugged in and it connected just like if I did have one of those cables.... could someone let me know?

So from my understanding, i spent 700 on my d3, and then to get updated map disc, i have to pay another, like what 200 bucks or something? So thats how it is correct? And like i know like for phone gps, it updates every month i think, why isnt the d3 like that? forgive my if this is a double post, but it just makes me mad because i had to drive an extra 20 miles just because i didnt know there was a radioshack 10 miles away because the maps weren't up to date.

I did convert them to a divx but they still didnt work

So i created a video cd using Nero Vision, but when i load the disc into the D3, it doesnt want to even recognize the cd, what did i do wrong i set up like a title screen and convered them to divx videos

Why do i have to have the cd in for that? DOes the roads up date and businesses update somehow? Anyone know of a good cheap screen protector? I have the D3 by the way

Can i have a extra cd player installed so i can have the navigation disk in it and still be able to have my audio/dvd in the main HU? Or will this not work?

Thats in inches correct? Look pretty nice? i was using 500x240 pixels at 300 pixels/inch

I see that for the d3 the pics have to be 500x240 This is in pixels correct? And how many pixels can i have per inch? IM using photoshop CS2 so ya....

Thanks, how can i make the center AUX work, and do u think its worth the trouble and expense to have the pac installed?

I want to buy the avic d3 for my tC... 1. What all will i need? (harness, mounts, ect) 2. What do i need to keep my steering wheel controls working? 3. What do i need to hook my amp up? 4. Is there a way to have an AUX plug? 5. Is there a way to have the AUX plug working thats in the middle console? 6. Anyone have a picture of what all comes with just the HU itself?(cords,manuals ect)? I know its a big order to fill, sorry, any help is... uhh helpful lol

Whats the differences between the two?

Has any experience problems with extreme heat or extreme cold weather? Does it effect the performance of the HU?
