This happens to mine too. I know your post is old but did you ever find a fix for it?

When I hit the nav traffic button or even traffic flows button, navigation completely freezes up. I can hit my volume knob to get to other sources and everything works fine except for navigation. It makes the map button nonoperational. I can hit the Navi Menu Button but it just brings me to a frozen map. Everything comes back when I restart the car. Anybody know of a fix, workaround other than getting rid of my nav traffic subscription? I've even tried a full reset on both head unit and GEX-P10XMT. I've also downgraded and tried it. Still fails. Thanks in advance!

I stopped using my palm centro because it didnt work w/d3 but I just noticed they had an update released July 22nd 2008. In the list of fixes was Bluetooth enhancements. Does anybody know if this fixed the Centro connection issues with the D3? I'd like to know so I can break the centro back out and switch back! Thanks!
