  1. I am looking into the portable solution (I currently have an AVH-P4000 DVD installed) for navigation, and am looking for information on it. My main questions are: does this unit have a mute wire? I know that you can buy the external Pioneer amp and wire that up, but my speakers are already amped. Any ideas here? My second question is this: When wired to a switched power source, will the unit automatically turn on and off or does the power button need to be pressed each time? Is there a way to wire it up to do this if not? Thanks for your help!
  2. Thats what I figured...So in theory, you could output nav to an external screen but it would display on both, correct?
  3. Is there a way to get any of the F-series units to output the navigation to an external screen while still having radio controls on it unit itself? I searched the forums for quite a while and can't find anything concrete. Any help would be appreciated!
  4. Hey All, Considering the Avic D3 and can't find some info on a question I have. I really need the unit to be able to play a DVD to a rear flip down screen (for the kids) while I use the navigation option on the main screen. It is my understanding that you need the navigation disc in the drive in order to use it, rendering the DVD useless. Can you pop the navi disc in, load the maps and pop a DVD back in? Does the nav DVD need to be in at all times when using the nav function? Thanks in advance!
