so i tried setting up my phone book....connected my phone, registered it, then went to the add phonebook and it didnt say anything on that screen, after reading the manual i guess it should say start? i know that a lot of phones wont do the transfer so im just wondering if this is how its supposed to happen whenever you dont have the option of transfering the phone book....its kind of an older Razor..verizon.. Second thing, my plan is up and i get a 2 year upgrade, i want a phone that will connect well with my D3...i read through the poll where they list there phone, phone carrier and the

I had to wire the illumination wire all the way to the a wire right behind the light switch, for me the wire was purple and white...i drive a jetta so i have no clue what it would be for you but what it does is whenever you turn the light switch on the D3 dims.

yeah it is the beeping sound i was hoping it was doing the "learning" or whatever.... thanks a lot guys

also when switching between navi disks is it normal for the unit to turn off and turn on real quick?

alright so i get this weird noise whenever i go to the Navi settings hardware info and select the one where it tells me my speed(not speed pulse) but it is only when i start moving? i do have the VSS wire hooked up and i soldered it pretty well, anyone know what this could be? clearly since its only when im moving its something about the speed. all help is greatly appreciated!

haha sounds great! in the manual tho it says something about the application disk on the top of page 130....whats this? i was only given two disk East and West navigation disks...is there something else?

okay i just installed my D3 and i was wondering if its normal that the first screen you see says please insert the appropriate disk? then i put in the disk of the area i was in East. and it showed me the NAV and it showed exactly where i was but the time was off by 4 hours then i went into settings but it would let me click on the configuration or whatever the button is to edit the settings(i forgot)...did i forget something?

that wouldnt be the ACC it would be the one that says battery 12 v i think its yellow for me?

Those with the AVIC D3 BTB200 for bluetooth...where did you put the power source to? did you directly hook it up to the battery? in the manual it just says connect to terminal always supplied with power regardless of ignition switch.... just connect it straight to the batter?

Im installing my D3 or getting ready to and i was wondering what do do with all these connectors...i have 00 Jetta i know that the Brown and Black connectors to the left go into my wiring harness but what about the other two to the right? Also i dont know which connector goes where into the harness. Does the brown or the black connector go into the port with the red ignition switch wire and yellow battery wire coming out of it? all help and suggestions are much appreciated.

Im currently installing the D3 and was curious as to where the best places are to put the GPS receiver thing, the mic to the bluetooth, the bluetooth box itself and also the ipod cord (glovebox probably?) All suggestion are much appreciated!!
