    MP3 DVD

Thanks. Gotdamn D2. Looks like Ebay should be this thing's next stop. Saw D3's for $599 at Fry's, and at the rate simple navi units go for I can probably make $500.

    MP3 DVD

Does anyone know if the Avic D2 will play Mp3 Dvd's?
  3. I went ahead and had professional installers do it for me, as they concluded it needed to be on a switch; there was a certain delay that needed to occur for my unit to work correctly
  4. Thanks man, I'm gonna retry in the morning. It could be because of how I was grounding it, not sure. If that doesn't work then oh well, I'll do it the Cop-friendly way. Funny thing is that, after grounding them, I dont get the screen on check the wires or anything. Seems to work as it lets me use AV...just the gray options
  5. I was referring to the Navi DVD's. But after fiddling with it from 2pm till 7 I gave up, even had to jump start the batter a few times. It's not the DVD's fault. Its the bypass, and after grounding that damn parking wire so many times my navi options are still grayed out. Even after the whole sticking wire into the empty pin
  6. Yeah I just regrounded it into the ground for the unit. I think the problem is bigger now....the unit is taking FOREVER to load the dvd's even after they seemed to be working. Im guessing it's because they are copies and the guy I bought them from copied something wrong.
  7. Edit* Got it working, unplugged battery/replugged. Now it's an issue of grayed out options...I thought it was because the parking wire wasnt grounded, did that and still grayed out
  8. Thanks to everyone with the help on getting it all wired up, antenna came in yesterday and DVD's in today. Now, what i've noticed is that after the upgrade, the system seems terribly slow, I cant input any destinations or do anything, pressing Dest. on the unit is unresponsive and it is horribly slow. Is this the DVD's problem? They were brand new.
  9. What's the best price you've seen? Lol I actually paid roughly $300 for my system which I'm going to possibly sell soon. So far, only major difference I see is DVD playback and better ipod functionality
  10. Thanks alot guys. Got everything up and working, just waiting for my West DVD and GPS antenna to come in. One question though, how do you get to the Vehicle Dynamics screen? Or does the interface change once I get those DVD's? It seems kind of bland.
  11. Thanks, Im gonna go hunting for a local seller who might have the above one, as mine isnt the JBL system. In order to test the system, I can cut the red and yellow wires apart from each other and plug them into a socket and ground the black wires, am I right?
  12. thanks for the reply No I havent bought the adapter, but do you mean this adapter will plug straight into my cars harness and from there I can go straight to my D2? Also, is there anyway just to test and see if the device is working? Thanks
  13. Hi, I have a 2007 Toyota Camry and am currently trying to install my D2, I started off by splicing and connecting the black to black, red to red, and yellow to yellow to make sure I was at least getting power. No power. If anyone has any knowledge on the proper wiring sequences please let me know. Thanks
