I have a April z1 too, what I did was downloaded the Bluetooth update file which is all over this site then burned it and updated my unit. Do the two wire bypass (which is also all over this site) while installing the unit then run the update and you are all set. Remember the bypass won't work until you update.

If the car originally came with the gps installed then it could be the gps antenna, if it did not then its the phone antenna (SOS). Anyhow, if its the gps call pioneer they ca help the best and also call cruthfield. Good luck.

Hey guys, i just signed up on this forum after getting my first pioneer d2. I just did the bypass as well, thanks for the info on this site. I thought by doing the bypass i would be able to control navigation while moving (which works) and watch dvd movies. But i found out that d2 is not suppose to play dvd movies unless you buy an external dvd player? Is that true? or are there people playing dvd movies without buying an external dvd player? I also used the search function but got no results. Any info is much appreciated. thank you.
