  1. hey guys. so i was priming the engine in my car and cranking it with no spark plugs which allows it to crank pretty fast. I had to crank it for multiple 15 second intervals in order to get oil flowing and keep the starter from getting too hot. Like an idiot, i didnt disconnect my head unit. After i was done, i realized that the head unit doesnt turn on any more. I checked all fuses and none were blown, and the power wires that run to the deck plug are still hot when they should be. Im thinking i could have fried a capacitor in the deck by constantly powering it up/restarting it? any ad
  2. alright so i just got my d3 all hooked up and did the bypass. for some reason, there is no sound when using the ipod, a dvd, or a cd. the radio and navi functions both have audio though. does anyone have any ideas as to what would cause this? something i hooked up incorrectly maybe? the dvds play on the screen but the sounds just doesnt work. same for cds. thanks
  3. mine isnt installed yet so i can look for you when i get home if you havent gotten an answer by then
  4. yea thats what ill do, thanks for the help i appreciate it
  5. i see what you are saying. i plan to use an external amp, the a/v inputs, and the camera. i just want to disconnect the other audio outs and the video out. i guess i can just work around them since its only a few extra wires. thanks for the input.
  6. hey guys just got a d3 today. as far as looks, i love it. first one ive seen and person and im very happy with it. i was wondering, for the white plug/harness which includes all of the audio/video ins and outs, can i de-pin the ones i wont be using to clear some of the clutter? im not sure if it will cause the deck to have problems so please let me know. also, has anyone installed this on a 95 240sx? im curious as to where i hook up the vss wire. thanks guys
