I had a similar problem. No sound, could not change channels at all. When this does occur the only way I am able to correct it is to select the memo edit button and turn off and turn on game alerts. This fixes it for me every time. Hope this helps.

Hello, I currently have a Z1 thats been upgraded to a Z3. I have no issues paring my Thunderbolt at all. I don't have a Z2 drive to swap in an test.

I had a similar issue. Checked to see if the fuse was blown, it was good. To get it working again I disconnected the power supply from the back of the sirius unit and plugged it back in again. Started the radio and it was back This happened after I had to replace a bad battery in my Charger.

Hello. I've searched the forum for possible solutions for my issue. I saw some other posts on the same topic , tried the suggestions but no luck. I have a z1 upgraded to a z3 (garrettoomey's drives). All connections are fine (vss, speed pulse etc.) GPS signal is good. My problem is the compass is in the wrong direction when going east or west. North and south is fine. Ihave no problems using the maps and the system gives me the proper turn by turn directions. I've gone ahead and reset calibration several times and it will not work. Just wanted to say thanks to Garret for hooking me up with his Z3 drive. Called him for a last minute order and it was shipped and at my door 2 days later. Thanks again for helping me out.

Wanted to say thanks to everyone on this forum for all the info which helped me with the install and the bypass, not too mention the hardrive upgrades and backgrounds. Unfortunately my Z3 was stolen last week. Insurance covered some of the cost , at least 1400.00 in damages to my charger. Anyway I won't be buying anything yet but eventually I will. Thanks again for all your help. Keep up the good work.

Just wanted to get confirmation from the xperts here. MP3 files will only play from CDR or CDR-W in any of the Z series headunits and not from DVD-R or DVD-RW correct ???
