  1. Here are some pictures of my XM install. I choose to mount my Pioneer GEX-P10XMT in the truck, right on top of the factory XM module. I also used the factory antenna. I didn't want to tear out the factory XM. When I sell the car, if I want to remove my aftermarket install, the factory works will still be there. Then I will only need to plug it back in. I removed the factory XM module along with the bracket it mounts to. The factory bracket was perfect for mounting the new Pioneer XM. I had to relocate the factory XM module up about one inch so the mounting screws for the Pioneer X
  2. No, I haven't started the install yet. Even though I have allready purchased everything, I'm debating on not going with this configuration. I'm considering a Drivesoft system. Still waiting for them to contact me because I have allot of questions still.
  3. PPDdawgg; Is that what you are using for your USB? If so how does it work for you? I ordered one of these by mistake thinking it was a CD-IB100ii. Got mixed up on eBay and clicked the wrong auction. I followed through with the purchase never the less. whtcrxghst; Do you have any more info then "It works like crap"? Like what did you have it hooked up too? What was the problem you had with it? Thanks
  4. Most of my stuff has shipped in. This is what I'm installing at this point. Z3 (Head Unit) CB-IB100II (iPod control) ND-BT1 (Bluetooth control) GEX-P10XMT (XM Radio with NavTraffic) PAC-SWI-ps (Steering Wheel Functions) Boyo VTL300 (Backup Camera) Antenna Adapter (Crutchfield Item #12040GM10) Faceplate Kit (Crutchfield Item #120953527) GM Class II data bus interface (Crutchfield Item #120GMOS04) CD-600DC Data Cable (Pioneer Extension) CDE-5773 P-Bus Cable (Crutchfield Item #130CDE5773) I looks like I will be using the factory XM antenna with the GEX-P10XMT installed in the
  5. How do I get a USB storage device(Creative MP3 player) to play on my Z3 ?? Anyone know what adapter/module can be used? My install wil have: Z3 (Head Unit) CB-IB100II (iPod control) ND-BT1 (Bluetooth control) GEX-P10XMT (XM Radio with NavTraffic) PAC-SWI-ps (Steering Wheel Functions) Boyo VTL300 (Backup Camera)
  6. So, are you saying "I do need to run the IP-Bus Cable" along with the Data cable? But don't need to run it back to the HU. Thanks, that makes it easy.
  7. I'm installing a Z3 in my 2007 Grand Prix. I'm hooking GEX-P10XMT, ND-BT1, CB-IB100ii, PAC-SWI-PS, Boyo VTL300 to it. Question: Instructions say I must have the DATA cable hooked up to the GEX-P10XMT with this Nav HU(Z3). Do I still need the IP-Bus cable hooked up too? And if so, does the IP-Bus cable have to make a round trip back into the HU? Meaning from the HU to the GEX-P10XMT, from the GEX-P10XMT to the CB-IB100ii then back into the HU? If not, does the IP-Bus cable STILL have to make a round trip back into the HU? In this case, from the HU to the CB-IB100ii then back into t
  8. Forgot to ask. Does your car have the HUD. And if so, does the HUD still show the radio info or nav info? What other options did you get with your Z3? (iPod, USB, Bluetooth, etc. ??) Also, does it look like I have chosen the right PAC units for the steering wheel controls and the door chimes?
  9. I'm not really worried about keeping the Onstar functioning. I don't use it. My big concerns is the added antenna somewhere on the outside of the car. I really don't want another antenna visible. Can the antenna be mounted under the dash? I have read many post saying there is no problem doing that. Also, why cant a splitter be put on the Onstar GPS antenna so that one antenna can be used for both Onstar and Nav? That sounds great. Did you take any pics during your install? First tell me how to get the stock HU out. Also, what dash panels will I need to remove and how do
  10. Has anyone intalled a Z1/Z2/Z3 in a 2007 Grand Prix GXP with Onstar and XM? This is what I intend on installing. Avic Z2 or Z3 CB-IB100II ND-BT1 GEX-P10XMT or GEX-P920XM CD-UB100 PAC-OS2 PAC-SWI-ps I want to use the stock Onstar GPS Antenna for the Nav HU. I also want to use the current stock XM antenna, instead of installing another antenna. Does anyone know the location of the Onstar GPS antenna and wires? Also the location of the XM antenna and wires? It looks as though I will be doing this myself. Just curious as to where all the XM, iPod, Bluetooth, USB and PAC module
