  1. I've had 2 bad direction instances. The first one told me to make a left turn onto a right turn only road, and there was a divider in the road. The other, told me to make a left into the woods, the road didn't exist. My best guess it's an area related thing, and if it is a software problem, it's iGo, not the radio itself.

  2. Defintely looking foward to this idea. But with almost 30,000 members, we're gonna need an organized list of members who are more or less likely to attend:

    1. JasonH

    2. VBLUE42

    3. CatchMeIfYouCan631

    4. Thomashohl

If anyone else wants to attend, just copy/paste the list, add your name, and post.

  3. If you have 0.027" less space than required, that wouldn't be a big deal, except that you have to factor in enough room for the plugs, fan, and wires in the back. What's behind the factory radio in the kia? Wires? Metal bar? Airbox? You may be able to modify the dash to accomidate the Avic much nicer dependng on what's behind the radio.

  4. Count me in, a trip to FL is definitely needed

One suggestion though, if it's being planned for mid summer in Florida, are black shirts really a good idea? lol, maybe white with black lettering?

also, IDK what's down there but when there's big gatherings here, we usually rent out like the Holiday Inn or something similar, with name tags of your User name so everyone knows who your are. That'd be pretty cool.

Jason and VBlue, if anything I can do to help set up, shoot me a PM on what it is, I'll be on it.

  5. Personally, I would wait for the 3.0 to release. It's not much longer and being that you'll be driving your other vehicle more, it won't be too bad. It seems that you would like the F Series is it wasn't so sluggish and buggy, so maybe the 3.0 will take care of some issues. Also try doing some of the tips to make it faster, like deleting the maps you'll never use. If you don't want to wait, Kenwood looks promising, except the price tag is too much for a radio IMO (I know I said in the past I'll be getting the 9140 upon release, but after installing GTIMatt's Data.zip, I'm liking the unit a lot more and the boot time isn't much of a pain anymore. Also once Leetlauncher is 100% complete, the unit will be great.)

  6. Were you able to retain your trip computer and clock? (AVG MPG, Miles left until empty, etc.) If so, PLEASE tell me how you did it, I have a 2009 Mazda3 and I havn't installed an aftermarket unit yet because AFAIK, my lcd display will remain blank other than the A/C control portion. Please let me know how you were able to retain the functions, if you were able to do so. Thanks!

If that inforation is ran through the factory radio, then yes it will be lost. In the RX-8, the clock and track info were lost until Metra released a module to retain them.

  7. Wow Leet, it's come a long way since it's release, nice job. I have not read all the posts, as there's 29 pages and I have only skimmed them here and there, so I apologize in advance if it''s been answered, but my main source of media comes from my iPod. Does the launcher work with the iPod yet? Also, this is more of a suggestion, but what about an option when selecting music or movies to change from artwork to list?

Again, good work. I'd bet a few of the employees who made the avic will be using your launcher

  8. Rule out the 8000BT. It looks nice is pictures but in person it's nothing special, especally when your 2 other choices are only a bit more in price and offer muh more. Down to the last 2, I think that the P3100DVD is a nice unit, but with how prices are so cheap for the F Series, I'd go with that, because its not much more expsensive than the 3100 and your getting much more.

  9. In my S10, there was a CD holder in the center console, I made a iPod holder out of MDF, used a router to make the iPod spot, and it sat in there snug. You can get creative and do something like that in the glovebox. And a good thing to use would be those white plastic iPod slots that the iPod came with in the box.

  10. Psh send me the SD and I'll do it. How much you offering? ;-)

    What a Capitalist :D:D:D

Lol. Hey man, it's just like Superman has said. If they don't want it for free, let them pay for it. But I was only kidding, I'd actually feel bad getting money for something so simple.

5speed, you can't possibly brick your unit with testmode files. It either puts you in windows mode or it doesn't. Once you're in is where you need to know you're way around. If you feel unsafe doing your own coding, there's plenty of awesome Data.zip's with a good amount of hacks. I personally have GTI Matt's data.zip and it's awesome. If you can't even do that, do more reading and learn more about the hacking so you can understand better what we're all talking about.
