  1. IIRC the Imge.res is not a .zip. When you go to compress it again using 7zip you click Add to Archive and rename it "Image.res" afterwards...it's been a while since I made a theme (though I just got inspiration for a new one last night ) but I don't remember any .zip files when changing the theme.

  2. Did you see the link Skicrave posted in that thread as well? Gives more information ya know..

What do you mean by how is the overall install? Like is it easy or difficult? You have to remove the A, B, and C pillars, the visors, and any overhead compartments/dome lights, plus any pressure clips or screws still holding it up. Is that an easy task for you?

If you're looking for an easy install, your best bet is to check above the unit inside the dash and check for any metal. If there is no metal inside the upper part of the dashboard, just mount the GPS antenna in the dash and forget about tapping into the sharkfin.

  3. WilliamG, look at the OEM navigation for the RX-8. It flips up on top of the dash and slightly obstructs the driver's view. IMO putting the Avic in is not only better for media use, but also safer.

Back on topic, OP Nice install. IIRC there's another thread on here where the guy put a piece of woodgrain over the dash kit to give it a more factory look, you should check it out.
