i love you all
My heart just melted.

Yes. It will work, that's why I said yes in my last post lol. very easy to install/program too.
-
I'd resell it and get the D3 or the F Series.
-
the dimensions are like 3-3.5 square inches.
-
Yes. And I like it, but after hearing the news of the scheduled release for the DNX9140, I may sell the 90 to get that. If it's like the Z3 with faster iPod controls and a good bluetooth, bye bye F Series, otherwise, I'll wait.
-
I miss my Z3....except for the slow iPod scrolling and bad bluetooth...that killed it for me..

So we have to pay for THEIR mistakes.....
When's that DNX9140 coming out again??

Other than the Garmin nav I don't see anything remarkably different than the Z3. Hopefully the iPod interface is as fast as the F series.

Looks sick. I may have to start saving
-
IIRC the Imge.res is not a .zip. When you go to compress it again using 7zip you click Add to Archive and rename it "Image.res" afterwards...it's been a while since I made a theme (though I just got inspiration for a new one last night ) but I don't remember any .zip files when changing the theme.

Did you see the link Skicrave posted in that thread as well? Gives more information ya know..
What do you mean by how is the overall install? Like is it easy or difficult? You have to remove the A, B, and C pillars, the visors, and any overhead compartments/dome lights, plus any pressure clips or screws still holding it up. Is that an easy task for you?
If you're looking for an easy install, your best bet is to check above the unit inside the dash and check for any metal. If there is no metal inside the upper part of the dashboard, just mount the GPS antenna in the dash and forget about tapping into the sharkfin.
-
WilliamG, look at the OEM navigation for the RX-8. It flips up on top of the dash and slightly obstructs the driver's view. IMO putting the Avic in is not only better for media use, but also safer.
Back on topic, OP Nice install. IIRC there's another thread on here where the guy put a piece of woodgrain over the dash kit to give it a more factory look, you should check it out.
-
Did you rename it "Image.res" before putting it back onthe unit?
-
24-bit in Photoshop.
-
what color are you using? You can try making a custom color and lowering the values of each color. That's how I dimmed mine, but it won't alternate between bright and dim.
-
Lookin' good, Guga. Amazing how the smallest details can make it look that much nicer.

Kenwood411.com ??? lol.... Is there any guide on how to install this unin on the 350z???
......It was a joke. You can find vehicle specific directions all over the web, preferably a nissan forum.

When I get the chance to sit down and have a conversation about it, I'll shoot you an IM and walk you through it.

Nothing gets automatically copied to yours SD card, you have to manually copy and paste what you want onto it. What exactly are you trying to do?
-
That Ford one looks bad-ass. Any chance you can post just the background?
Someone's gotta make this thing accept .gif files so that loading icon can actually work rather than be stationary

Those are texts. We haven't found a way to edit those texts or the fonts, the closest we've gotten is editing the fonts in the data.zip, which affects the destination part and the map.

The Z3 also does not have as many problems as the F series that require major changes
