thanks for the help guys, i dotn know much about car audio, but my friend fixed it, i believe he said the mute wire was in the wrong place or grounded or something like that....

i bought it off a friend and it was working fine just a few minutes before puling it out.

Just installed the Z1 in my 2002 maxima, i kept the bose speakers and amp, i used the Peripheral sven4 interface to retain it. Everything works properly, but nothing happens when i press the volume buttons. I have sound but it is just very low. It doesn't even disply that the volume level is moving up and down. Any ideas? Thanks
