  1. Pioneer must have updated the Nav disc because now the D-3 (Dec 07 build dat) will show a new "Video while driving..." screen and shut off the video when 10 MPH or more is driven. Anyone with info please post. Thanks.
  2. Don't update it, it will screw up the function of the bypass. Just did one...
  3. I've just installed a new D-3 (Build date Dec 07) and when the nav disc is inserted a different update screen comes on, like the Z-2 software update screen, and then anything over 10 miles an hour brings up a new "viewing while moving.. screen" and the video of course goes away. I have checked the bypass wire etc, all good. I have installed at least 40 D-3's and this is the first one I've seen with the update screen and the new video while moving screen. Anyone seen this yet or does anyone have a new bypass method I am not seeing in the forums ? Thanks
  4. That's right I am an expert or at least a professional, being that I've been installing (for a living) for over 25 years. I am always open to other opinions, advice or help when I need it. Thats why I posted the question. I thank everyone for any help given. I was just saying that the hack is done correctly. I have verified this multiple times as well as having other verify it also. It is grounded. The pin is not loose in the connector.
  5. I thought it MUST be a bad connection. That is why I have checked the connection so many times. I have done this hack at least twenty times on other units with no problems. I am not doing it wrong, besides it worked for a month then quit.
  6. No software update. Nothing has been touched. According to Pioneer tech assistance there is no updated Nav softeware for the D2 anyway. I really think there must be something internally wrong with this unit now. Can't figure out any other reason.
  7. As I said the grounds have been double /triple checked, six or seven times at least: and verified with a Digital Volt Meter also. Both are goo. It worked for a least a month and nothing was changed then it stopped working.
  8. Has anyone had a D2 with a working bypass that just stopped working? It worked for about a month then quit. Video playback works until 15 or so MPH...Then the warning screen comes up. I've checked and double checked the pin in the open spot to make sure it is firmly seated and still making a good ground connection, all good. Verified ground with a DVM. Would there be any other reason for this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
