Thanks for your reply. That is what I discovered and was doing. However, after installing the Quick Launch bar mod, the method you describe does not work anymore. Not sure why it wouldn't work anymore. I wonder if hitting 2D then 3D would be a work-around. (If it works, I'll post back here).

Thanks to keeper22 and lava10t2 !! Installed this mod. Works great. I changed the five quick buttons to: Destination Favorites History POI Hide QuickLaunch bar (I don't have MSN). Working well ... I sometimes miss hitting the Guidance mute button though.

The manual doesn't say anything about how to clear the TILT AND ROTATION controls from the 3D view. Occasionally I miss a button and touch the map. This pops up the TILT controls. Then I can't get rid of them. I know I'm probably missing something simple....

AMP3D doesn't seem to be around... Can anyone else help clarify the proper points to solder on the N1?

Mark: Thanks for the great tutorials on eatpork. Can you clarify the SOLDER POINTS on the N1 ? Are they the RED dots I've marked on the attached image? In your pic, there is a blob of solder on the YELLOW dot. Thanks again.
