May I ask what these disks are for? I know they are maps but do I really need them?

If I've learned anything from owning this unit is that its like having a hot girlfriend that is mentally unstable. Looking at the unit made me buy it regardless of all the problems that you guys reported I just could not resist buying it. Now they say that they postponed the update. I sent them an email complaining about the device and they never had the audacity to respond back to me. I expect this kind of treatment from a crappy company not Pioneer. The F series (in my opinion) killed pioneers credibility.

Do you guys think this update will solve the touchscreen resonse time issue?

is there a way for us to send some kind of petition to adddress all of our problems with the Avic-F series? All of us paid a pretty penny for the damn thing so we need to breathe down Pioneer's throat to release a fix for all the problmes that we are having. Please let me know if it is possible and if anyone is willing to do so

Why is my Avic-F900BT not detecting my Sandisk 4 Gig Jump Drive?

I connected my ipod to the USB cable coming out of the Avic-F900BT and eventhough it shows all the information on the songs etc... I still can not hear anything. What is the issue? I am also having problems with the touchscreens response time. How can I resolve this issue?

Ok what about regarding the hack? What are the benefits of this hack? And can it be done before the installation? Or should I tell the tech to do it. It is out of the question for me to do it myself I just dont have the patience for it. I also have an unrelated question.. I am trying to sign up for MSN Direct service but I want to get the free trial before paying up the 60 bucks. Soldering to me is like brain surgery I never mess with it. Does anyone know ifI am going to get better sound quality on my current system when I install the F900bt? Also, is it that difficult to install the speed sensor? The tech guy is trying to tell me that its not accurate and not necessary even after I offered to pay a little bit more.

Does the AVIC-F900BT give sound improvement over the factory stereo system? I have some good speakers but no subwoofer. But thats about it.

I just got mine in the mail today and I am too much of a coward to attempt and install it myself. I am planning on taking it to Bestbuy or circuitcity to have them install it for me. How much will it cost me to have them do it? Will I need any other accessories for them to install it in my car? I know there is a speed sensor in the device will they be able to program it if it needs any special programming?

Ok I know the device takes 2-5 minutes to first boot. But lets say I turn off my car, does that mean I am going to have to wait the same 2-5 minutes to reboot if I leave my car for................lets say 10 minutes?
