Just want to make sure im not missing anything skipping directly over the 80MTs.

SWDW, do these have the firmware update that the MT80 has?

I'm using the Scosche piece myself. I'm definitely not pleased with the color mismatch, I'll pull it and the trim piece to the left of it some day. My D3 did fit nicely in it though, no large gap like you've got there.

I'm still running the original disks that came with my unit, and I'm curious, does the -90MT have the same firmware update on it the -80MT does? I want to get the latest disks, but not if they do not have the firmware update as well. Just trying to figure out if I need both sets of disks.

The plugs may be different, if you're comfortable enough you could probably pull the old pins out of the old plug and move them to the new one.

What type of car? How strong is the signal?

Just found out the Installer is NOT using metallic based tint, still with a lifetime warranty against fading, so I should be golden!

Hey guys, I'm about to be installing a D3 here in the next 2 or so weeks (gotta finish collecting the accessories first, Sirius boxes and possibly BTB200.) My main question is about placing the GPS sensor on my rear speaker deck after I get the windows tinted, probably 15% or so. Im not sure if the installer is using metallic tint. Hopefully not. Is this going to give me problems? The vss wire will be connected due to its ease of access. I'm just trying to keep the install as low key as possible. Any/all opinions and insight appreciated.

They shouldnt have given you any trouble. The boxes arent sealed, so how would they know it was opened? You could have simply bought the one from CC and returned it to best buy, easy as pie.
