  1. I know about the Mercedes $$$$. I have an SL500 and I don't use their phone interconnect either. I might try making my own cable that plugs in the phone and have the speaker audio come out of the Z by using the extra audio (video) input. I had the installer leave an audio cable hanging for that extra input. I could wire another overhead microphone for that arrangement. I like experimenting with stuff like that. Thanks, Rob.
  2. Hey madsonp. I picked up the truck and everything is magnificent. I love this unit! Thanks, Rob.
  3. No need to comment on that, he said he hooked it up and it will be ready tonight. I feel like a kid at Christmas !!!!!!!
  4. I am actually trying to convince the installer to hook it up. He said that he doesn't hook it up because it can cause problems to the car. I really doubt he is being lazy because he has done some really nice work for some other friends. I will find out later if he actually did it!
  5. Thank you so much for the fast reply and info !!! Rob
  6. Thanks for the help here. I have a 99 Dodge Durango. Can you tell me the VSS location? It is not on that chart. Thanks.
  7. Hi Bogie. I am not much of a phone guy and haven't followed the bluetooth setup. I was just imaginging something like those aftermarket hands free speaker phones but using the Z instead.
  8. Thanks Skicrave. I didn't think it would be that easy. Thanks.
  9. Hello. I am new to the forum and will be having a Z-2 installed this weekend. I don't have a Bluetooth phone and was wondering if it is possible to plug my regular LG cell phone in to the Z to access the audio and microphone? I searched for an answer but couldn't find anything that applied. Thanks for any help.
