Its firmware issues, you have to stay on a certain firmware... Look around, this has been asked before but i am too lazy to digg.
-
Well next time it happens, turn the D3 off via the off option in the AV menu. This will turn off the remote turn-on therefore turning off the amp. Then turn it back on.
This will truly show if its the HU or Amp.

You probably need to delete the old phone out and then delete the new phone out and then add in the new phone agian.
-
check the power wiring for them. If they're t-tapped into a power line, they're more than likely losing voltage occasionally.
-
I have a feeling that your amp is the issue... It probably has a mute circuit and a heat protect circuit. The levels you're playing may not cause overheat, but may be causeing an amp overload tripping the mute circuit which resets upon losing power...
This is probably due to the higher clarity of the D3 signal versus the line out signal from the converter...
try not to go deaf.

ever heard of a lock... is it a physical lock like a cover? or is it a software lock to block the function of the button?

craigs list is just a main stream black market for stolen goods. Sure good things are sold their too, but its too easy to rid of stolen items.

Remember you get what you pay for, but you could get a single din hu with a decent quality for 150. But you also need to figure in the wiring harnesses and the dash kit, but www.crutchfield.com usually does pretty well on those.
Go with any alpine or pioneer, You can never go wrong with those.
As for speakers, Its usually recommended to upgrade becuase the factory uses built in equilizers to mask the poor quality of the speakers so when you upgrade the Headunit, the speakers dont sound as good becuase the hu is putting out a stronger and more clear signal. It isnt a requirement tho.

The sub can be fixed easily, the changer not so much. Its just how creative you want to get.

eBay is where many items that are damaged, returned, or have something else wrong are sold. I know about eBay, its made me a mint buying such items, repairing, and reselling.

No problem, I a glad it worked out and I hope your wife is doing well. Personally, I went on a float trip this weekend and ended up saving about 15 people who would listen to the warnings and capsized in a terrible area...
Glad you help you anyways.

It wont be hard, you'll need:
-Toyota 87 & up wiring harness
-Toyota double din dash kit
-possibly a Speakerwire - RCA converter
I am not sure how the sub is wired in a GS300 so you may or may not need these.

AS the title states, I need VSS, reverse, etc. for a 2009 Scion xB. I don't believe there were any changes from 08 to 09, so same information a 2008 would do fine.
AVIC-D3, by the way.
Thanks, in advance, for the help.

Okay, just used the search function like crazy and couldnt seem to come up with any information on the install into an 07 cobalt. I just bought the avic d3 a few days ago and i just wanted to ask some questions on what i need and what i need to do before i start installing. As for my car, its a 07 Chevy Cobalt LS with no onstar or pioneer package.
As far as harnesses go, by what i've read i either need the metra gmos lan 03 or 04. 03 being the non-amplified one and the 04 being the amplified one. Im assuming that i would only need the 03 becuase i dont have onstar or pioneer package. Also i found the pac c2r-gm11, which is in essence the same but i just wanted to know if one is better than the other or if they are indeed the same and ones just cheaper. And i was also wondering if either the metra or pac harnesses have the navi wires, like the vss and etc. becuase by what i've read they dont and some people say the newer ones do??? And if they dont what would i need to do so that the unit works although i dont have the specific wires???
As for dash kits, i've read that i need the metra 95-3302 and was wondering if it would fit the 07 becuase its only rated to fit the 06's...but on the metra website it said it should fit??? I know i already have to saw off some plastic piece in the back of the stock kit in the back and bend some metal pieces out of the way (not on the dash kit itself but in the car to make room for the unit) and didnt know if there was anything else i should be getting.
Finally, as far as the "gm antenna" im not sure if i have that. Most of the posts i've found said something about the gm antenna and buying an adapter?? is that specifically for the cars with onstar or something or other?? and as for the gps antenna that comes with the unit, where would be a good place to mount that or would it be fine back underneath the unit?
I just want to say thanks for any help and its well apreciated. Just wanted to be sure on some things before i go about spending more money and didnt want to buy the things that either wont fit or the wrong part number. Also, im not a wiring buff but my uncle is an electronic technition so he's helping me out with the install. once again thanks.
This is all specifically for an 07 cobalt w/o onstar or pioneer
You need a double din kit:

You need a wire harness:

Put gps antenna somewhere where it contacts metal
