Update: I thought I would try to disconnect the positive on my battery to see what that would do and it unfroze it. WOrking good now, so if anyone else encounters this try that!

Come on someone, help us out! Whats the chances of the SCC1 going bad or the SB10 that is how I am running the sirius through the D3? I want to get this fixed, I hate FM radio! Please any ideas? THanks Again!

The sirius in my D3 has frozen on a specific channel. Everything else in the radio works, when i move on to sirius the screen looks totallly normal but it gets no music and is stuck on channel 8. I have called sirius and they said there had to be a problem with the hardware. Do you guys have any ideas on what this could be or what i need to do? I reset the D3 and get the smae thing? How do I run the back DVD with the front one playing. How is it hooked up?

I have a bypassed D3 up front and a factory flip down monitor in the back (expedition) When I set everything up the back monitor is on a different wiring harness. I am under the impression that headphones cant be used anymore, the ones that came with the factory radio. Where kids could have earphones on and we could listen to the radio up front. Can anyone verify that? Lastly, since the front is bypassed is there a way to play the video up front so that it plays on the back monitor? a splitter or Y or something that woud work? Thanks for the info guys, I do not have the amp included in that, i have it to one wire which is a blue and white stripe. What does a terminal strip look like? Where is the best place to get all of these elctrical connection at, somewhere on line or what particular store. I looked at radio shack and their stuff did not look so good, their wire taps are terrible.

Put them together as if I was going to put a cap on them but instead use the heat shrink? WHere can a guy buy that stuff?

How do you guys connect all your red wires together? Like if you had a amp, swi-ps, radio lead? I guess is there some sort of wire connector that is made for putting all these together besides a wire nut? Thanks

So if we cant listen to the radio in the front is there a way that the kids can use headphones so we dont have to listen to barney?

I have an 03 expedition that has a factory flip down dvd screen in the back. The factory headunit had a function on it, actually controlled through the back console where you could do dual play. i.e. My wife and I could listen to the radio in the front while the kids used their headphones and watched their movie in the back. I just put a D3 in and now that dual play does not work. Is there an aftermarket device that I can put in that will allow me to do the dual play and or is their headphones that I can now use for them in the back. The factory headphones do not seem to work also? An

if it has to do with the wiring is it possible since the dvd works on the D3 that i can get it to play on the rear dvd screen, kind of like a splitter on a tv?

You guys got me confused, what does the speed sensor wire do and do i have to even hook it up? and are you saying that i have to hook up that reverse wire in order for the back up camera to work? Thanks! If i play the dvd up front i have no issues but when i put it in the rear dvd all i get is pic but no audio. the rear dvd is factory any advice on that????????

alright I am back, have not got to the camera yet, but the bypass works and the radio. In the expedition we have a factory rear DVD system that i got the harnesses from crutchfield to keep that baby working. When i put a dvd in the back system i only get sound out of the drivers side speaker and none of the other ones. But when I play the tuner all speakers work. Where could the mess up be? Lastly is there a way that I can play the dvd on the avic and have it appear on the rear dvd screen as well at the same time. Thanks for you help and responses!

2003 ford expedition

Alright boy/gals, you have all helped me so far with the bypass now I am ready to put it all together. There is two wires I cant figure out where or how to attach them. The car speed signal input and the reverse gear signal input. I am installing a reverse camera as well and it looks like these need to be hooked up. Where and how do these go? Thanks for all your help and I am doing this as we speak so any quick response would be greatly appreciated!

How are those wired in and are they hard to do?

I am going to put in the d3 in my 03 expedition this weekend and I have read some threads on here about the steering wheel controls not working with aftermarket radios. Is this true, do i need to put some device in there to allow those controls to keep working? If so, why would they not continue to work? Thanks in advance!
