thank you very very much.....im going to attempt this on my own tonight.....if nothing works garret expect some more questions and if you have any drives available...maybe one of those to make life easier lol.

I have the Z1 and I downloaded the Z3 image aabout a year ago.... i was wondering if the image i have is no good or is there an image i can find somewhere thats usable and trustworthy and id like to know which partition to extend to be able to get more music saved onto the drive I have a seagate or WD 160gb drive i wanna use thats unlocked and formatted.....would i be needing anything else?...oh and i have acronis as well. Thanks for the help!!

u know whats funny was that yesterday i did the bluetooth update....then i went to ground the line.....lol i grounded the tel/mute line and i was like wtf!??!!? and then i realized it wasnt the right connector....lol back to the rip apart phase of it! ok but the one thing i want to know is how different is the z3 interface from the z1? or is it just navigation differences? im thinking of doing the drive upgrade but if its nothing big i dont even care for it......the one thing i would like is upping the space on the drive. i have a few laptop drives that are over 100 gigs would they work?

hey guys n gals, new to the forum here and I just got a Avic z1 from a friend and Im looking to upgrade the drive which isnt the problem....i saw someone say something about a double ground bypass for the z3 and now im confused.....do i still have to get the flasher bypass to make it work with the z3 updated drive or the other method which im clueless about.
