The iPhone 3G works with the N4, but does not charge (some seem to be working on a workaround for this) and does not transfer contacts. I have also found it to be a bit flaky. I have not yet figured out how to make it automatically recognize my phone when entering the car (i.e. without direct connect) and the N4 often throws an error when trying to recognize the iPhone for music replay.

The head unit displays "BT-TEL" and then flashes as much of the incoming number as it can display (I think it was 9 digits). After you pick up the call, a timer starts. I did not play with the display, so am not sure if any other information is available.
