  1. I'm getting too fed up to wait for my 900 from Pioneer's accomodation's program. Plus, combined with all of the "horror" stories pinned to the 900, should i try and get my money back and either get the eclipse 6620 or the Z2 or 3? I'm really torn!!! the only reason i'm considering sticking to the F series is the voice recognition and the speedy iPod interface...

    any suggestions?

  2. has anyone used Sirius with the F900? if so, which module are you using? I was wondering whether or not i should get the new module, the DEI part with the pioneer interface adapter, or just get the old DEI PNR2...

any suggestions...? and sorry if this has been said before, just didnt want to go through 1000000 threads and posts to find it.

  3. true that, stang. but it's worth the extra 100 just for the 4 volt preouts... isn't it 5 anyway? a 2 year warranty at a retail store is about 150 bucks too, and the ipod cable is 50. so all said and done, you might as well get it just for an extra 100....

Great points and I agree. I just didn't want the OP to be discouraged from buying the F900BT thinking it was greatly inferior to the F90BT.

oh sure, FEATURE wise they're the exact same, except for the preouts. it's the extra stuff that makes it worth it.

  4. supposedly the new update is DEFINITELY in the works. i had ordered one but they're not shipping it to me until they fix more bugs... i wonder what they're targeting? supposedly this is only on the 900 though. weird?

    has anyone else heard differently?

btw, thanks whichever CC employee told me this...

  5. the best thing to do will be to connect all the wires, including illumination. the only one in your case which you MAY not need would be remote turn on, which is blue also and has a hang tag on it saying "remote turn on" or something of the like. this only isn't needed if you don't have amps. it's easy to do...

  6. at circuit city, IDNAV is 160 bucks. depending on the car, you'll need a dash kit, possibly an ant adapter, and a car side harness. circuit city does not usually run the speedpulse, but they could do it for an extra 16. you'd have to talk to the installers about doing the bypass.

so at most you'll spend like, 240 bucks to have it completely done. but call ahead of time and see if they have a 2Din kit.

    ... i work there.

  7. one way to get around the low voltage (except the 90) pre-outs is to either buy a LINE DRIVER, which is basically like a preout amp... or get some type of equalizer and stuff it in your trunk... it would take the 2.2v and up it to 5-7v...

  8. Question... if i hook up both an ipod and game system... using 3 Y adapters... one for red, one white, on yellow... would this work correctly? and every time i want to play a game would i have to change av1 from ipod to video? or will it work the same? i think it would work, but i'd like to know before i go at it...

  9. hey guys, i've been hearing various opinions about the startup time... can somebody give me a definitive amount of time? and is the unit usable during startup? i know my friend's avic Z2 isn't usable during startup.

also, is the fact that the navigation doesn't always point north confusing to people? how are the 3d landmarks?

... i had ordered my unit a couple weeks ago before i read it was being delayed. hopefully i get it soon!
