Bluetooth is poorly implemented on the Z110/120 imo. I'm always having problems with it when I try to switch the audio over to a second device. I too was wondering about how to delete old phones from the unit, so that's nice to know I just couldn't find it.

If you've got a spare iPod to leave in the car I'd go with the glovebox. If you plan on using your iPhone think about putting it somewhere more accessible. I personally used the glovebox with a spare iPhone that doesn't have service.

Hi there, first time post, long time vierwer of the site.
This just starting happening to me today as well. But it only happens when my blackberry is connect via bluetooth. When i disable the bluetooth on my phone and it doesn't pair up, the head unit is fine and will play no issues
Does this tell me that the Bluetooth is faulty on my device? I have rebooted my phone before repairing and I also deleted the pairing off the phone and re-added it with the same result.
That sounds like it's some software issue with the AVIC, but I haven't heard anyone else (nor have I) experienced this with my Bluetooth phone. I would check the connections as others have suggested just to make sure it's not caused by that. Also it could be overheating.

If you only get that URL warning on certain pages that probably means someone posted a link to something questionable. I'd download Firefox if I were you and dump IE, Firefox is more secure and less vonulable to a lot of stuff.

There aren't any SSL pages on the site so I wouldn't worry about the certificate thing, it's just on one bothered paying $200 for a signed SSL certificate that wouldn't be used. I've got no clue about that other stuff.

I keep having to pair my iPhone 4 with my Avic-D3 each time I get into my vehicle. It requires me to enter the code each time.
That sounds like an AVIC problem and not an iOS problem, if that happened to me the first thing I'd try is resetting the AVIC to factory defaults.

You can also use it to adjust the viewing angle if its mounted low in your car.

Maybe you're just holding it wrong.
lol
Maybe some duct tape would help?

The only Apple bumper I've seen in person had issues with the power button being too sensitive, when holding it near the top the power would cycle on and off, read more about that here http://osx411.com/index.php?/topic/93-iphone-4-after-one-week/page__view__findpost__p__174

I don't drop my phones very often and the iPhone 4 looks tough anyhow. I've never been a fan of things that make phones larger but this looks thin enough to just be cosmetic.

True, and half the time it says the POI is on the wrong side of the road.

1) Why in the world does it not display the address that I am going to when I arrive on the street for the destination? I always have to look at my phone to get the address.
I never thought of that before but now it sounds like a nice feature when going to someone's home, however I usually goto a business and look for their sign.

How do you update just the bluetooth? I don't want the full $200 update as it sounds like more trouble than benefits.
I haven't noticed a difference with the 3.11 BT software update but the Z120BT update is well worth the cost IMO.

Yeah same thing here, I thought it was the oddest rebate check.

pandora link and avic feeds app does not work on iphone 4.
Pandora link works fine for me (iPhone 4), just make sure you install the regular Pandora first and enter your account info, I had that issue at first too.
-
Yeah, AVIC feeds doesn't work on any device with iOS4 installed.
-
Oh shit. That would explain it.

Hi,
I am new here. Just got my z110 LOVE IT!!!!! I happen to agree that I think I like the old i-pod interface better...will there be an option to down grade firmware if we don't like it after trying it????
Mike
You won't want to downgrade from Z120BT after you mess with it, its awesome, song selection is sooo much better.
-
The musicsphere plugin should be available for download in the next couple of days/weeks.
You were right about the timing. I'd like to mess with the Mac version though.

I've got that installed but haven't seen that issue. I don't have the manual in front of me but I seem to remember reading in it some scenario where it would forget your programming, I think it had to be connected to a dedicated power source and you may have it plugged into accessory or something. It might be helpful to reread the install manual.

I tested my Z110BT in the car after I had already removed my old navigation system. I wanted to make sure that the FM antenna and all speakers worked fine so I just connected the car's wiring harness to the AVIC and turned the car on.
One side note is that if you had to disconnect anything to install your AVIC you might get an error from the car, my VW was giving me an air bag failure because I powered it on with the passager airbag on/off light unplugged, had to stop by my dealer to have them reset it.

I'm an iPhone App developer (just search the App Store for Robert Hodgen) and if you write an App for the iPhone/iPod touch/iPad that connects to another device you've got to send that other device to Apple for testing. So my guess would be that Pioneer has to send Apple an AVIC Z120BT for testing and this is where the delay comes from.

I love the paint job on that dark Lexus. Are all of them rockin' AVICs or do they put other Pioneer head units in them?

I really do hope that there will indeed be an update for the 110 into a 120 like was mentioned on this site a thousand times and at the end of that video. I am really thinking more all the time about XM Radio too. Really liking the looks of that unit thus far.
I can't wait for the update either, it looks awesome. I noticed though that there was really no mention of the nav features, which I would like to see refreshed as well. That smooth scrolling could be used everywhere, contacts, POI searches, etc.
Street names

I've noticed that sometimes my Z120 doesn't display any street names on the map, but a fix I've found is to zoom in then zoom back out, that fixes the issue 90% of the time.
