  1. Hi there, first time post, long time vierwer of the site.

This just starting happening to me today as well. But it only happens when my blackberry is connect via bluetooth. When i disable the bluetooth on my phone and it doesn't pair up, the head unit is fine and will play no issues

Does this tell me that the Bluetooth is faulty on my device? I have rebooted my phone before repairing and I also deleted the pairing off the phone and re-added it with the same result.

That sounds like it's some software issue with the AVIC, but I haven't heard anyone else (nor have I) experienced this with my Bluetooth phone. I would check the connections as others have suggested just to make sure it's not caused by that. Also it could be overheating.

  2. I keep having to pair my iPhone 4 with my Avic-D3 each time I get into my vehicle. It requires me to enter the code each time.

That sounds like an AVIC problem and not an iOS problem, if that happened to me the first thing I'd try is resetting the AVIC to factory defaults.

  3. 1) Why in the world does it not display the address that I am going to when I arrive on the street for the destination? I always have to look at my phone to get the address.

I never thought of that before but now it sounds like a nice feature when going to someone's home, however I usually goto a business and look for their sign.

  4. Hi,

I am new here. Just got my z110 LOVE IT!!!!! I happen to agree that I think I like the old i-pod interface better...will there be an option to down grade firmware if we don't like it after trying it????

    Mike

You won't want to downgrade from Z120BT after you mess with it, its awesome, song selection is sooo much better.

  5. I've got that installed but haven't seen that issue. I don't have the manual in front of me but I seem to remember reading in it some scenario where it would forget your programming, I think it had to be connected to a dedicated power source and you may have it plugged into accessory or something. It might be helpful to reread the install manual.

  6. I tested my Z110BT in the car after I had already removed my old navigation system. I wanted to make sure that the FM antenna and all speakers worked fine so I just connected the car's wiring harness to the AVIC and turned the car on.

One side note is that if you had to disconnect anything to install your AVIC you might get an error from the car, my VW was giving me an air bag failure because I powered it on with the passager airbag on/off light unplugged, had to stop by my dealer to have them reset it.

  7. I'm an iPhone App developer (just search the App Store for Robert Hodgen) and if you write an App for the iPhone/iPod touch/iPad that connects to another device you've got to send that other device to Apple for testing. So my guess would be that Pioneer has to send Apple an AVIC Z120BT for testing and this is where the delay comes from.

  8. I really do hope that there will indeed be an update for the 110 into a 120 like was mentioned on this site a thousand times and at the end of that video. I am really thinking more all the time about XM Radio too. Really liking the looks of that unit thus far.

I can't wait for the update either, it looks awesome. I noticed though that there was really no mention of the nav features, which I would like to see refreshed as well. That smooth scrolling could be used everywhere, contacts, POI searches, etc.
