If i had a camera i'd show you mine. Mine brake wire is spliced onto the ground wire. Got mine 1 month ago and still haven't hooked it up.

I see you got 1 ground to the avic, 1 to the blue thing, what's the other ground for?

As long as the unit is not cutting on and off then it is grounded properly. If it cuts on and off for awhile it will eventually fry parts of the unit. I just got mine and it had connectors on the red and yellow wires obviously feeding other devices which I hope doesn't reduce the life of it.

Don't you just connect the black wire to the factory harness black wire.

Buy a new one.
