  1. It's fine for animation, but not so much for fast-motion stuff. If you want real video playback, get an iPod Classic/Video or should've opted for the F900
  2. I'm going to be nice, the max res is 640x480, 24fps, 480kbps bitrate with AAC audio.
  3. Pioneer does not need to recall the F-series, they just need to work out all the software glitches, which happens because its a first-generation CE product that ties together Parrot Bluetooth, i-Go navigation on top of the media players. Microsoft did not have to recall the buggy POS called Windows ME, so Pioneer will most likely not be recalling the F-series. Just be happy that Pioneer actually updated the unit within 2 months after release instead of dragging it on longer.

    iPod Wire

No iPod / car interface outputs digital audio to the head unit. The iPod doesn't output PCM audio. All head units, sound docks (car and home) use the line out pins from the dock connector to output sound. The USB interface is just for iPod control. The iPod has to play the files (ITMS DRM compatibility) as the iPod does not function as a mass storage device, in terms of how music is stored on it.
  5. Has anyone tried melding some of the F900BT features into the F700 software, mainly the DivX codec?
  6. I wonder if it would be possible to enable DivX playback on the F700s.
