if you have the map version 2.00004 or whatever, does that signify you have the most current version of the maps??i guess what i am asking is, is there two different numbers, one for like the software that runs the maps and then another version for the actual database of maps.. so you could have the newest map software, all the bulidings and extras but still have an outdated version of the maps???or are they the same thing??? the reason i ask, i did the upgrade to 3.0.1.1 without the upgrade disks and just wondering if i might have an older map database because there are still some roa

i have a f700bt with the3.0.1 upgrade..i see all of these cool mods and would love to do some on my f700 but really don't want to mess anything up..i know just enough to probably ruin my unit..i live in wesley chapel, fl..about 20 minutes outside of tampa..if anybody who has good knowledge wants to make some extra money and come help me get a couple of these mods installed, please pm me..i have a garage right off to the side of my office so it would be pretty easy.. thanks dave

no one has hacked the new ezrider yet, regarding your map, are you sure it's 2204? or ist 2008.04? also, check the number beside it as it would say something like (090514) which means that it is from may 14 2009, maybe im not talking about the right thing..when i clcik on service information, it says maps 2.00400..i guess maybe that is not it..there is an option to turn 3d landmarks on..am i talking about something else as far as the version goes???

i completed the upgrade through pioneer to 3.0.1 but still have the 2004 maps..how do i upgrade to the maps with the 3d landmarks and such??i have seen post about ezrider<?>..if there is a link with instrutions that would be fine too..us f700bt...thanks...

DN01 - I tried to boot up the prioneer file (the LPUE080 file, correct?) three different times; once when the older WinCE was re-installed, and again after the new WinCE files were added back. And a third time after I put the newer 'my flash disk' back on the system. (do I need to do anything else prior to adding this update?) Argh! What am I doing wrong? Any other suggestions out there? Thanks! all i did, and trust me my system would not boot with any card in it..it would just black out after the pioneer symbol, was go to pioneer print there directions for upgrading to the 3.0.1.

now that i have the update from pioneer 3.0.1 and the old maps 2.0.4 i think, i'm hoping someone can tell me there is a nice easy way to just update the maps...1 step would be nice, i really don't want to have to start abusing diet pills to stay awake long enough to do this tonight..thanks!!!

i went through the exact same thing..just do the update from pioneer..you will have the older maps but it is simple and takes 15 minutes..update the maps later...

i can not believe the day that i have just been through..let me start from the beginning... Last night i went to bed very late, about 4am and i took the day off because i am literally making myself sick from sleep deprivation..well at about 8am my internal clock woke me up so i took a piss, got a glass of water and figured i'd check my fantasy baseball teams..well eversince i installed the new i.e and yahoo i have all my favorites on top of my browser which includes this site..well i made the fateful decision and clicked on it and saw that i could try to install 3.0 on my f700..what a fate

somehow i deleted some files from windows that i should not have..startup.exe..cdmmee.exe and maybe others..is there anyway to get these back as they are not on the update cards...

yeah when i go into windows in test mode and go to the startup file, there is no startup.exe..the folder is empty..i probably deleted it somehow..anyway, im back words gradin to an official 2.0 to get my system up and then will do the upgrade over..thanks for the tip on the stylus..perfect now..

ok i followed your instructions and step 1 went perfectly, put in the testmode 2.3 sd card, got into testmode no prob the put in the torrent file unzipped and that went fine except for the fact that i cant get the edit button to engage becasue its so high up on my screen, i opened the torrent file to the my flash drive folder and then drug that to the taskbar where i had opened my device and then dragged it up to the other my flash drive folder.. everything copied just as it showed it should..xxxxxx to xxxxxx etc..it took 20 mins.. ok after that when i go to hold the green restart butt

i think everyone who owns an f series has nightmares with smantha's monotronical voice echoing in their ears to take the next right four times in a span of 1/1345th of a mile.. they say time can right all wrongs but after 4 months she still has to cackle 4 f'n times that i need to make the next godforsaken right... if there is ever a report of a car driven by a seemingly happy man mysteriously driving off of a bridge, i would tell the csu to check the dash and see if an f series navigation unit is installed.. 10 to 1 its set to tts samantha..

i was having trouble updating my f700..i followed the directions perfectly and it would start the file check on the update and say, file check error, and then list a file that couldn' be found.. after trying several sd cards and also having trouble extracting the files, i switched computers from mine which runs vista to my roomates which runs xp..i then just re-did everything exactly the same and the update downloaded and installed flawlessly.. i am not making any assumptions, that i believe is fact..i honestly have no idea why it made a difference..i am just stating exactly what happe

ok follow me here..i am not a computer wiz but did the first update very easily but have a question on this one.. ok wen i save the update to my computer..it saves into a folder named f series update...wen i clcik on that folder, there is no apparant decompression and there are 3 sub-folders..the lpu, tts and operations manuals.. do i transfer the lpu and tts file to my sd card from right here or i can right click on the folder that says f serieis update and hit extract all..when i do thaqt, it spends several minutes decompressing and then it saves this in a new folder to which the

whenever i search for a poi and want to save it into my favorites, it automatically names the favorite the address of the poi instead of the name of the poi..so i have to erase the address and type in the poi's name..example, my friend works at a restaurnat called mimi's, it pops up in my poi list perfectly as mimi's cafe, i go to save it in my favorites and the name reads 345 xxxxxx hwy or whatever..not a big deal but is there a way to make it default to the name of the poi when saving.. are phone numbers connected to poi's this go round??it seems like they are not.. i have the bypass

so i have had my f700 now for about 4 days, and as i have stated, have been extremely pleased with it..i almost feel guilty because save for some minor bugs, my unit works great and is a total blast..every function works well with my only complaint being the time it takes for my ipod to update the vr each time..i do have 4800 songs so i can't complain to much... SO...i've been getting pretty good with the voice recognition and learning how to word things, how fast and loud to say them and just finding the overall sweetspot of that part of the system..while it doesn't come close to the comm

i mean the 02 a4 didn't come with them so i am not sure if they can be retained..i know that i have seen kits and stuff that allow you to retain them for other models but i am not sure about the f700.

no, my ps2 and ipod are both mounted neatly in the glove box, i basically have to take the 3 plugs out of the ipod controller and plug them into the ps2..i use it very rarely but at least i still have the capablitly.. i wasn't crazy about the idea, i actually told him to just take the ps2 out originally but he did an awsome job of making it very tidy and it takes all of about 3 seconds... that way if i want to watch a movie that i have not been able to put on my ipod, i can still watch it with my ps2..i never ever use it for gaming, except if i have a kid in the car...
