ty, appears that the 2008 disk wasnt realy for the n2 as I burned the o7 with no problems.

I used magic to extract and burn. used a verbatim dual layer disk, put it in and it went through the updates, then said wrong disk inserted. Any idea what I've done wrong? ty

if you kill the power, when you first run navigation it should pop up first thing. ie disconnect battery terminal.

I had to run a ground wire from the deck to the outside of one of my rca's to lose the noise.

Ok after tons of problems I used the reset method with a n50 disk and now have my basic nav back, but years out of date. I tried popping in my n70 disk that I updated with before and I get checking disk, then nav kicks on and goes to insert correct disk. Is there some step I have to take to get the update disks to run and install? I remember last time I updated it went through a whole software update and changed the look of everything, but no luck on just putting in disk and resetting. any help would be great! ty

I found an original pioneer n50 disk, used the above message and it worked perfect. Now I cant get my upgrade disk to run though, is there a way to get that going? I forget if I had to do something special the first time I put it in.

yea I found it, but not having any luck with it. guess I gota just break down and buy a new disk. Here it is if anyone needs it. I have 2 avic n2 head units and both of them on both disks I have say insert correct disk. anyone have an idea what might be going on? Also neither deck will show video from my dvd changer, got audio but no video, any ideas there? Is there a way to clear out the old nav info or something, reseting deck?

anyone got a torrent for either 07 or 08 that will work in the n2 series?

I recently had the ribbon replaced by pioneer in my n2, now for some reason I dont have video from the disk changer. I have audio but no video. There is only one wire that connects from the disk changer to the brain, anyone know why I wouldnt be getting video? some setting maybe? Thanks

I get this insert disk message all of a sudden. been running this n2 for a couple years now with no problem, it just started out of no where. I have both the original and a copy of the update disk, both worked fine last week neither work now. anyone got an idea what might be going on? Thanks
