  1. I'm confused.  Are there any differences between the Z110 through the z150 or is it all just software?  The reason I ask is because I have seen several threads about upgrading one system to the next.  Related question which model is the cheapest/best to buy used?

  2. Since it seems that Pioneer will not update maps for the N models, I am wondering if there is a way to convert/hack the maps for some other receivers and put them on a disk to update the N's?

  3. I have the z110 converted to the z120 via the software update and the FM radio has always had RDS. It only shows the stations name and the song playing. When I save any stations that have RDS, it saves the station name with it.

Cool so I don't have to get a Z130 for RDS. I wonder why Pioneer doesn't say the 110 and 120 support RDS?

  4. Well I finally got into this menu. I used the Pioneer remote control. You have to slide the switch on the right side of the remote to DVD. 2 is up, 8 is down, 4 is left, 6 is right, 5 is enter, and the 'C' (clear) button in the bottom right corner is 'back'. I didn't find anything interesting in these menu selections. Good luck to those who want to play.

  5. My car got water in it and it fried the hide-away unit. Also the data cable had a couple of burned pins. I replaced the hide away unit and the data cable, but the headunit won't light up at all. Also, it had trouble ejecting the cd that was in it (it took 3 times before it came out). The headunit didn't get wet so I can only assume that something happened to the HU by the data cable getting wet. Anybody got any thoughts on this?

  6. Wait, lemme get this straight. Once you set up a band on your EQ(freq, Q, and amplitude), and move to the next band for adjustment, the previous settings change on their own?

Yes. It is just nuts to me. I have done the video bypass if that makes any difference. I am gonna try to check the forum more often, sorry.
