  1. i have a friend with a d2 and i believe his bypass that the store done for him stopped working i was wondering if the d2 bypass is the same as the d3 bypass?
  2. its totally fine, but i think if somehow the solution was tweak a bit for the 5000 im pretty sure it would work fine. Guess someone else will have to try it lol
  3. After a while i gave up on it just decided to use a radio shack toggle since it was rather simple to solder. Drilled a hole in the pocket compartment of my dashkit and just installed the switch onto there. Thanks for your great help gnat im pretty sure someone else will find all the info useful ha
  4. pretty sure it does havent had a chance to normally solder it, it partially works now but the bypass works like 10% of the time it will turn blue and then go back to the movie and turn blue again about it being in motion.
  5. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Stati ... al0123.pdf i use this diagram it doesnt mention anything about a 3rd purple wire either i cannot find the 3rd purple wire what so ever i didnt cut any wires off either. Do you happen to have aol instant messenger or what not? Think itll be better to talk to u there or rather easier ok update.. found the wire you're talking about but the wire isn't part of the set of wires that comes with the acc instead the wire comes attached with the rearview camera input.. I cant find the reverse cable anywhere on my metra wire harness. I have a 200
  6. i also noticed it doesnt seem i have a revearse plug because the two purple wires are for speakers according to the p5000 wiring diagram
  7. This picture is of the flat side of the npn those are the correct letterings right? im looking at the back of the radio shack pin diagram
  8. actually i resetted the system earlier and the black screen no longer stay there but it still had the symptoms of it popping up after a while and i would have to tap on the screen for it to go away here is my diagram the resistors are color coded. 10k being orange and black and 1k being red and black. The diagram shows where the transistor are facing i am guessing red is + and black is - ? i really have no clue
  9. wired backwards what do you mean? You mean the colors to the transistors ends? Is one end negative and the other positive?
  10. I dont even think i have a reverse input wire though on the pioneer connection. Its not hooked up to the park brake just directly the transistor. It had display before like showing the ipod and what not just it did not work with videos then suddenly after a few minutes it just went to the black screen and stays there even after i turn on and off the car and etc. i was thinking of getting the relay but i have no idea what to get and if its possible to build the relay with radio shack parts of somehow buy the relay fully assembled in a store in brooklyn, ny. Don't really want to wait on thos
  11. don't think the your method is working for me . I believe i followed the diagram. My screen all it shows is display might be shown in reversed in a black screen I used this blue wire remote as that was pretty much the only blue wire the pioneer wires had so since it had an rather odd shape head I cut off the head to solder the wire onto the transistor (hopefully it was the right one) And also use the parking brake and wires it to one end of the transistor and the acc to the other end of the transistor. heres how my wiring diagram looks like. I also followed the CBE specific
  12. about the acc portion red wire. The red wire harness is suppose to connect to the red acc from the pioneer unit right and then have the resistor unit between the two red wires?
  13. gnat do you think this is the same method you're talking about? http://preview.tinyurl.com/6gj6sb
  14. Supposely its a bypass where you don't need a switch of anything of that sort and works on all the new pioneer units. Any info would be appreciated thanks! http://preview.tinyurl.com/6gj6sb
  15. Oh its not the price im worried about, its more of the convience and look where you don't need to toggle some switch or have some toggle sticking out of nowhere.
