Does anyone have an AVIC and a remote starter for their vehicle? I have a 2008 Tacoma, put the remote starter in last week. Everything works fine but when I use the remote start to start the truck when I get in the AVIC is on the main screen all the time, even if I was playing the iPOD. The iPOD still plays when I start the vehicle so it isn't a big deal, I just thought it was weird???

Anyone know if I should wait around for a dual tuner, any word on when they will be available?

I drove around 15 minutes or so getting more and more frustrated but finally it connected! Before I left I hooked up the bypass again so all is well now... if only the other problems were fixed!

Hey... So I decided to get adventurous and attempt the bypass for my 700. I hooked everything up and turned the unit on and the GPS wasn't working so I thought I screwed up the bypass and unhooked the AV connector off the back (never used it before the attempted bypass) and rehooked the light green parking brake wire up. Fired up the 700 again and the GPS still isn't working, I got to the settings (after pressing in the parking brake, so that isn't the problem) and I'm not getting satellite signal. I'm not sure what could have happened, is it possible I hooked the bypass up wrong and sc

Did you get the steering controls to work?

I got the scorese kit from my local electronics store for $35 and the wiring harness for $15.. they sell on ebay for around $30 for both if you have time to wait for shipping. I don't believe there is a dash kit that has the textured finish like the factory stereo has. I like the dash kit I got, unfortunately it doesn't quite match the colors of the vents to either side of it but it does match the hazard light buttons. It looks like Toyota changed the color on the hazard light for some reason so they matched that color. I would recommend going to tacomaworld.com and the audio/video forums
