I'm having issues with weak or no signal. I've always had real good signal. Just got it back from pioneer for a blown preamp fuse and its been fine till yesterday. Had it back about 2 weeks now. Didn't drive the truck today so maybe i'll see if the problem continues. Any ideas?

Thanks all. Got it figured out. Got my videos from my usb to nearly full screen. They do seem to be a little choppy. I know I saw something on here bout that problem. Now just gotta find a fix for this.

Someone should call pioneer and screw with them. I'd be funny since most of us on here are having to try to figure out how to make this thing work properly. Tell them you can't get your msn direct to work on the 700bt. More than likely your going to talk to someone who doesn't have a clue what your talking bout. You can email them a pick of your unit with the 700bt model number on it with a screen shot of the msn direct.

I did happen to find something very interesting while I was playing in test mode. I managed to boot the unit up. When it booted I stumbled upon the MSN Direct. You may be asking so what. I have the Avic-F700BT. Which doesn't have the msn direct. I dunno what exactly could be done with this. Maybe someone could find a way to make it work on the 700's. Not sure if its already there and we just need to activate it somehow or what. I could enter the gas, movie, weather, traffic tabs. Just got no info on them. I could even click on status or connection, but never got anywhere with it

Ok. got the file on my desktop. I edit it, choose save as to my desktop. The computer doesn't seem to transfer it back to the card. I click on overwrite and it tries to do it, it just says compressing file. Thats bout as far as it will go. How do I get it back on the unit? Does it do it automatically with the update when I boot the unit up?

I've got into windows using the test file. My question is how/where do I find the data.zip file to put on the sd card so that I can change the speed from 16.0 to 120.0 so I can watch my movies while moving? I've tried searching but nothing specific. Thanks

Exactly offroaderf150. Thats a good idea you've got too. Its really pretty simple. I did mine this afternoon, and so far it works great. Had a bunch of things to do. Its been flawless. Not once did I have to wait to use the navi or listen to music. I'll keep you guys posted, let you know if I run into any problems

From me I agree with superjet to some degree. It would do a lil damage to the battery. But with a gel cell battery its not a big deal. Well worth it to me. Besides I've got a 2 yr replacement warranty. I'm also not worried about current drag either. Its amazing how no matter what forum you go to you get these people that just don't read. 1. If you use a battery cutoff, no dead battery 2. Thats why I said Like I said it may not work for everyone, but its a lot better than nothing. 3. No relays. More complicated for people that don't know a whole lot about wiring and relays. Been lurking since yesterday when I bought my AVIC-F700BT. So I thought I'd offer my fix for it. Should make for a nice first post. Now this fix isn't 100%, or gonna be the solution for everyone. The way I fixed mine is to use the ground in the wiring harness in my truck (99' s10) Run a pair of wires, preferably between 10ga and 14g, from the battery to the back of your unit. **Disclaimer** Make sure you use the appropriate fuse when you come off the battery.
