1. Thanks for your input my friend. I will try that - hopefully over the weekend. so how's the weather up there? I used to live/work up that way. Lived in Princeton and worked partly in Piscataway and partly in Manhattan. Moved to Bimingham, AL about 14 1/2 years ago and moved to Tuscaloosa AL (where the University of Alabama is) about 6 years ago and I love it down here! Still have alot of family in NY, NJ, and PA. Thanks again for the help, I will post again once I try to get it out.
2. OK here is a pic of the install. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
3. Great idea but no Mastersheet for '04 Touareg. any other ideas? Does Pioneer have such a sheet?
4. I have an AVIC Z1 installed (by a shop) in my '04 VW Touareg. The shop has been completely useless (and obnoxious) in terms of helping me with the bypass procedure from Simmentech. I am going to have to do it myself. But I need some step by step help in terms of getting it back out without destroying my dash. Once it is out, I'm pretty sure I can handle the wiring. I couldn't find a removal tool in the box it came in, so if it came with one then the shop still has it. Any tips?
5. I realized after I posted in the different area that there was a section for the Z1 - that's why I posted again. I am not familiar with the other models so I thought I should do it again on the Z1-specific forum.
6. For some reason I can't get the Z1 to leave the "repeat" cycle in iPod mode. It toggles between "repeat one" and "repeat all." I have to reach in my glove box and manually turn the repeat off on the iPod while booting to get it to stop and even then the AVIC screen still says "repeat one." Anybody else have this problem? How do you fix it?
7.
hey there, i just installed my D1.. its great.. however, the radio signal is really weak, any way of fixing this? anyone else have this problem?
I have the same problem with my Z1. I have heard you have to get a signal amplifier but I have no idea which one or how to install.
8. For some reason, I can't get the "repeat" function to cycle to "repeat off." It just keeps toggling back and forth between "repeat one" and "repeat all." I have to reach in the glove box and manually turn it to off each time I use it and even then only when it is booting up. Anybody else come across this? Is there a fix?
