  1. I recently installed the Pioneer DMH-1770NEX head unit in my car (replacing the oem 5" screen). I used the PAC - RP4-NI11 to retain the steering wheel controls, etc. The issue I have is that the backup camera is not working reliably. It's really odd what's happening. When first installed, I started the car and put it into reverse and the camera feed came up looking good. However, if I turn the wheel, or put my foot on the gas, the camera feed cuts out. Some research showed me that the backup camera is 6V on the 2013 altima, where the default voltage would be 12+. I contacted support
  2. Crrrrrrrap... I thought of hooking up a single speaker for voice navigation. I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the input :)
  3. Do you have the remote power wire connected ? (usually it's blue) Sometimes the remote power isn't hooked up and the external amp won't turn on. That's definitely a problem I've had with my old setup in the tahoe. If the remote wire wasn't hooked up, the rear amp didn't turn on. Bose might be handled different.
  4. So I got my head unit back from the repair shop, and with the upgraded software. Everything looks and works GREAT. The only problem is that the voice guidance doesn't work. I think it MAY have to do with the fact that I recently removed the stock speakers from use. I'm now using all pre-out signal. Does the voice only come out through the high level outputs ? Thanks in advance for your help :)
  5. d'oh! It's the AVIC-N1. I already sent it in to have it repaired. They quoted me a decent price as a return customer. I'd rather not do it myself. Thanks for the reply :)
  6. On the back of the display unit, there is a yellow connector soldered down by 4 points to a circuit board where the RGB cable from the navi unit hooks up. How do I know it's connected by 4 solder points ? because mine has snapped off. :( Is this something that can be repaired ? It was a clean break, none of the contact pins appear to be damaged. Has anyone else had this issue ? The connection on the RGB cable is SO strong, I think that's what caused the break. All the pressure was on the solder points.
