thanks for the response. my problem is that the f700 is a cd player only and i was hoping to be able to run divx/xvid movies off a jump drive or an ipod video - do you know if there is any sort of mod/hack to make the usb drive able to play vids?

Hi – I was considering buying the f700bt for my 2001 x5 and I cannot seem to find the info i need – hopefully one of you can help me: Can it play divx/xvids from a usb jump drive? If not, is this a hackable feature? I noticed on the pioneer website that it can play an ipod through the usb. If so, then what is the purpose of the additional ipod connect cable? Can it play your ipod videos through the usb or do you require the connect cable for this? thanks in advance for any feedback...
