It looks like the pioneer logo is in a different place and it has a new knob. Here is the pic changed up a bit so you can see a little bit better.

Did you try alinging the touch screen in the setup screen.

Bug Fixes and software updates should be free of charge.

 

Maps updates should cost money.

 

They should be separate.

 

Bug fixes should be free BUT, any update that offers new features is worthy of a price tag.

 

If the bug fixes and new features are bound, it should be free.

 

If they are separate, I can justify charging for new features. I will not pay for functionality that was advertised and not delivered.

That does not make sense. Bug fixes allow the unit to do what it was advertised to do. I do not expect any new features to be added later when i buy a product, i just expect it to work.

New to it all. Am i to understand that the f700 will not play dvds...However after a software modification it will play video files via an ipod, flash drive or usb....? someone clue my helpless self in. thanks

It will play off a ipod, usb or sd without modification. But, you need to modify hardware or software to bypass a safety feature for viewing while in motion.

Most if not all manuals have a glossary in the front telling you whats on every page. Which makes it a lot easier.

I am 99% sure that will not work. You can convert your movies on your computer from dvd to a sd card.

Kdoll, you control the zune through the avic or you have to manually do it? I never knew the unit had a UI for anything other than an iPod. sweet.

I notice a sort of whine with mine. I really only notice it when I turn it on and when on a call over Bluetooth. I wouldn't think it is related to the topic in this post, but I wonder if yours sounds the same as mine.

You will need a wiring harness adapter it will vary with the chargers options. Please state your factory stereo type it could be bare bones 4 speaker, boston acoustics 6 speaker, boston acoustics 7 speaker, kicker or it could have nav.
