Bug fixes should be free BUT, any update that offers new features is worthy of a price tag. If the bug fixes and new features are bound, it should be free. If they are separate, I can justify charging for new features. I will not pay for functionality that was advertised and not delivered. That does not make sense. Bug fixes allow the unit to do what it was advertised to do. I do not expect any new features to be added later when i buy a product, i just expect it to work.

It will play off a ipod, usb or sd without modification. But, you need to modify hardware or software to bypass a safety feature for viewing while in motion.

hey, thank you for giving me a page number. i had that pdf file opened before, and did a control "find" option by typing the words "theft, or password" and it didn't find anything. thank you tho Most if not all manuals have a glossary in the front telling you whats on every page. Which makes it a lot easier.

As the new VW OEM RNS-510 is light years ahead of the older NAV, I was really hot to get it. But my insurance adjuster would not go for it. I notice a sort of whine with mine. I really only notice it when I turn it on and when on a call over Bluetooth. I wouldn't think it is related to the topic in this post, but I wonder if yours sounds the same as mine. Mine is whenever the unit is on.

You will need a wiring harness adapter it will vary with the chargers options. Please state your factory stereo type it could be bare bones 4 speaker, boston acoustics 6 speaker, boston acoustics 7 speaker, kicker or it could have nav.
