This message is directed towards garrettoomey:, but anyone whom bought the drives thru him before can also answer: I got the 40GB/60GB drive directly thru him last time, for the 2008 maps + higher capacity then the OEM of Z3 (by the way, I have the Z3). Reading this post is interesting, as I have now completed downloading the "torrent" of the *.TIB files for the 2009 image. Hey There All! I resolved it, it was the POWER ANTENNA / AUTO settings The BMW has a factory amplifer, and it wasn't turned on automatically with ANTENNA option, therefore, no sound system within car, this means, no speakers powerred I resolved it by changing the settings in AVIC-Z3, Thanks!

Tried both slots, the blue and the black it doesn't work still I dunno, it just doesn't make any sense. Do I have to update my firmware on my Ipod, I haven't updated in the longest time. It's wierd, because the same adapter (ipod) worked with my previous Pioneer in-dash unit, PH4900DVD. or so Interesting thing is, the radio, cd-r, loaded with MP3 works, only the ipod doesn't.

Hello Guys! I having a problem with my AVIC-Z3, 80GB 5th gen Ipod Video & CD-IB100II connected The unit detects ipod is connected and it plays the song. But there is no sound coming out. I thought it was a mistake on my end. But the radio works, cd/dvd/mp3 all works, only the ipod is not working. Anyone like to help?

Hi Guys! I was speaking with Twin Que, who is very acknowledgable and advised to check about getting Hard Drives upgrades for the Z2/Z3 system. After speaking with him, he advised to go with Z2 and just do a HDD upgrade. Now, since we are in 2009, and I am going to ordering either Z2/Z3, I am still waiting on the prices in Toronto, Ontario Canada.
