  1. If you have a pioneer ipod cable, thats the problem. I switched mine for the apple cable... problem solved. Hope this helps.
  2. If you guys have been having this problem while listening to the ipod, and you have the pioneer ipod cable, then that is your problem. My speakers come back when I press the horn. My wiring is flawless and it only happens when i'm listening to the ipod. I bought the apple composite cable but haven't had the time to change it since I have to take apart all my center console and half of my dash since my ipod cable comes out of the center arm rest compartment. This topic has been discussed long time ago and no one that's been using an ipod cable has this issue. hope this helps.
  3. WOW... a step by step tutorial for this with pics would be awesome. please...
  4. I figured out how to fix this issue. I just unplugged the video source of the ipod cable and so far the problem has been resolved. I don´t watch videos on my car so its not a problem to disable it. Though I still don´t know how the video is somehow related to the car horn. Maybe like I salid before a poor ground on the video RCA of the cable...
  5. I think the images for the phone contacts are in image.res, if you don´t know what that is you will have to search in hack and mods on how to mod the image.res file. Only 6 images because there are only 6 contacts per screen and those images repeat themselves at each screen so you will end up having the same picture for the contacts each time you go down searching for other names.
  6. I had this smae problem and diconected the video source of the ipod cable since you guys said this mught fix the problem. It's been 4 days now and I haven´t had any issues anymore so I con confirm that the video part of the cable is causing the prblem. It could be a good idea to ground it to see if it is just a bad ground on that part of the cable but since I don´t watch videos in the car through my ipod I´m pleased that the horrible noise/fading problem is resolved.

  8. I know I'm not alone, this is a common problem, I just want to try and figure out what does the car horn have to do with the ipod cable..... how is the horn making the "dead" channel come back to life???????? I'm still lost so anyone that has this issue, try pressing your horn when one of your channels fades. (I'm not joking, this is happening to me so i't would be helpful to know if somebody has the same horn related problem)

    Image.res

you need to use 7zip to unzip it and to zip it again in .res format. Need to use photoshop or similar program to edit the images...... LOTS of info on this subject. take a look at hacks and nods on the F-sereis forum.
  10. A little search would have helped, anyway... http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... highlight=
  11. Ok, this is very wierd and need some help because I have absolutely no idea of what´s going on. I have the same issue as many other people had regarding to the left or right chanel "fading" when lisening music through the ipod. Some say it´s the pioneer cable (I use the pioneer cable) because there has been no problems reported using apple´s cable.... ok here´s what I discovered today... I was driving back home and my right channel was not sounding well.... (it´s always a different side, not always the same one) so I honked to the car in front of me and voila..... the right channel came
  12. Everything will work just fine except navigation unless you find the maps for your area.
  13. jreimers, you have to download a program called 7zip, then you can compress files in .res format. imBasketCase, try posting the attachment in a new post, I guess that will work.
  14. it really is looking good, noticed the floor on the main menu, do you mind updating the image.zip file on the first post for the one you are showing with the floor reflection on the main menu???? thanks...
