  1. Hello all huge fan of this forum, my avid 900bt crashed and is on the reboot loop, i just need to get into test mode because i have a complete image to restore, can some one point me in the test mode file direction and the key sequence to get into test mode also. Thank you very much
  2. I have my aciv 900bt running 3d Mode with it like its 2d Mode. Im not really a fan of the 3D flying around setup so i have it identical to 2d mode and love it because the unit keeps up with my position cuz north is allways up. I can post pics if others want to see but its not hard to setup at all and hasnt like reset it self like others say it does so yes its possible to mimic 2d mode and i didnt edit any files either.
  3. i have the same issue on mine i was wondering the same, i have my phonebook completely the same nothing changed but only on some contacts will it show there name when calling, others just a number
  4. im using CMH's mod and it allows me to save that map orientation thus enabling me to never it reset like your stating which is a pain in the ass but mine saves it .. good luck
  5. yeah man chances are you missed the RCA's for the cable by accident because if its reading it then it should be playing through your stereo
  6. So the msn direct uses the FM portion of the avic ? so having a little longer antenna will help with service updates such as gas stations and movie show times ?
  7. I have a avic 900bt and was wondering how the unit knows when its day time versus night time? The reason i ask is because i dont have it hooked up to my Daytime Running Lights so it doesnt switch over when the head lights come on yet when night falls it runs my night map .. thx
  8. wow man awesome post, about how many channels do you receive with your hd tv >
  9. I live in Los Angeles too and theres plenty of service out here.
  10. I know exactly what you are talking about man i had the same minor head ache and its just a smple fix more so than i think anybody imagines. So the direction of travel does not move in 2d mode, and in 3d mode its almost as if your flying kind of around the streets lol so what i did was im not sure what its called but in 3d mode if you tap sort of to the right on the nav menu it allows you to adjust the like height control of the it. So just press the arrows until the 3d mode like completly over and inverted on your arrow and hot diggity dog in 3d mode you have it just like you wanted lol i kno

This changes how software generates routes. I.e., in pedestrian mode (mostly applicable to F500, of course) it will ignore one-way street restrictions, route you through alleys etc. For trucks it might avoid low bridges and stuff like that. Haha oh ok man thanks for the reply its good to know that info I was just wondering what the differences were between them.

if your looking to make the little car the stock arrow, then paste these two bmps into ui pioneer/ common folder in your data.zip file. otherwise yuo will have to open the car image in photoshop and change the color to black from red. thanks for the reply

2 questions guys Everything works great im just wondering if its possible to change i cant remember where but in the navigation settings it says like car, pedestrian, truck, taxi like what is the purpose of that ? and when i select something like truck or anything it reverts back to car is it possible just to have the big arrow back in 2mode ... also my 2nd question is there anyway in 2D mode to have the map allways like change position with the vehicle instead of only staying facing north for instance like if the vehicle is going west bound the map rotates with the vehicle if that makes
  14. hey whats up man basically from what i understand the avic can see the ipod because it controls it via usb, but it plays the audio portion of the ipod through the composite RCA cables (yellow, red, white) to the Audio Video source line on the back of the avic. So like yes you can see your ipod and play songs through it but hearing it and watching your videos will be a no go because it uses the RCA lines to bring in the audio video signal. To save the time and money it would just be a better bet to purchase the pioneer 230v cable or get Apples AV composite one (http://store.apple.com/us/product
