I will add this to my server for download.  I would really like someone to update the maps in this package.  Anyone willing?

Here are the TA maps of 2010.06. The complete USA, Canada & Mexico Maps & Premium POI's files. The DEM for North America, Canada & USA are also with this pack. If you want them. All the maps are in there own state rars so just get the ones you need. Like the state you live in & around you if you travel. This will save time & space on your unit.

 

IMPORTANT INFO

The maps will only work if you have a cracked EZrider & a Generic License Code. (NOT INCLUDED NOW INCLUDED)

If you don't have them, This update will not work on your unit. Use the maps at your own risk.

 

UPDATE: I added the cracked EZRider.exe & License files. Please make sure you back-up your files before you copy over them.

Tested on the Emulator & Still use at your own risk.

All errors can be reported to tele atlas on there website..... if everyone helped in doing this.... it would surely bring tele atlas's accuracy match navteq.

It's not the point...... we can either do that... or buy the update again next year and keep bitching about it. A lot of stuff got fixed in my area because I reported it.

So far the maps and signboards have been fairly accurate... BUT I have noticed that the routing at time is WAY off! I just drove from Austin, TX to SLC, UT and there were a few times it told me to get off the highway just to get back on 3 miles down the road. Also just driving around town here it was telling me to basically get off at the next exit then go around basically in a circle just to get back onto the freeway and continue on my journey! I did NOT have these issues with the previous software/maps...

I haven't had a chance to test mine yet.....but this will piss me off if it does that.

I got mine today... I'm in Maine... so that throws the west coast theory out the window.

You have to enter the Device number.... and the media number to get the password. So I'm guessing now that you you entered the media number with another device number..... it wouldn't give you the password. So you couldn't install it.

Now I'm also guessing the the first SD Card is what enables this function before installing 2nd SD Card. The unit also won't let you install the full system upgrade without installing Firmware 2.10 (1st SD Card) first.

So far I love the upgrade.... Well worth the 60 dollars.

Needs a password to install....

Sounds like you didn't unzip the files before moving them to the sd card.

Downloading the Two Firmware Updates & Transferring them to

an SD Card

Step 1

1-1. Download the system firmware update Zipfile onto your computer by clicking here. The

location where you save the downloaded Zipfile should be accessible and easily remembered.

1-2. After you have downloaded the Zipfile, locate it on your computer and double click to

decompress it.*

Once the Zipfile is decompressed, locate and open the folder named "F-Series Firmware

Update".

Once the folder "F-Series Firmware Update" has been opened, locate within it the subfolders

named "LPUE080" and "TTS".

*If you do not have a decompression utility on your computer, you can download WinZip

at http://www.winzip.com.

1-3. Transfer the "LPUE080" folder and "TTS" folder onto the top layer (folder) of your SD

card. **

**You must use a SD card that is 512MB or larger and formatted with a FAT16 or FAT32

file system.

HOW TO DETERMINE IF THE FIRMWARE UPDATE HAS ALREADY BEEN INSTALLED:

To determine if the new firmware update has already been installed on an AVIC-F90BT, AVIC-F900BT, AVIC-F700BT and AVIC-F7010BT, please power on the system and do the following:

1. Press the "Menu" button; then touch the "Settings" tab;

2. Touch the "System Settings" tab; then touch the "Service Information" tab;

3. The "Map version" number and the "Version" number are both displayed -- please look at the "Version" number, which is displayed on the lower line; and

4. If the "Version" number is "2.000000" or an earlier/smaller number, please install the new firmware update. If the "Version" number is "2.006000" or a later/larger number, the system has already been updated with the new firmware.>

That means you already have 2.06 on it or 3.0 on it. Read your manual to follow the steps to check your current firmware version.

I paid for 2 day shipping also..... Mine said shipped on the 7th... my card got charged on the 8th..... then got my tracking number from my order status page. Although I didn't get the email invoice yet.

Just so everyone is clear here.... the only update shipping is for the F500.

The update for the f700/900/90 has not arrived at Pioneer yet..... as of today anyway.... no actual date either....

I would daisy chain it like your planning to now... but so you know.... if you turn off the unit in the audio menu then go into menu and AV setting.... you have the option to change the rear RCA's to either FULL or SUB.W

yea it seams so.... There are so many things the d3 did better than the F series does.... they took away alot of features.....
