So i crashed my car over the winter into a tree and had to take my car into the dealer to get it fixed. It is a 04 mazda 3. I had installed an avic d3 6 months prior to the accident and i loved it and it played perfect. When i took the caar in i left the unit installed and took out my sub with the sub and speaker amp on the back of the box. When i put it all back in though nothing worked right. I had a terrible high pitched whine threw the speakers and when i would plug in the sub it exploded with sound. IHowever the speaker out puts work fine so i just listened to my rear speakers for a while

Hmm well i dont see why not just strip each wire and cut off one on the ipod connectors and wrap them together in one cord. I think all the oinfo would be right there. My only question is when you switch to av1 from the ipod setting on the avic does it automatically pause the ipod?

Hey im looking for a way to get a visualiser on the screen of my avic-d3. My idea is to hook up an xbox through the av1 input and then splice the ipod wire going to the xbox with the wire for the avic-d3 ipod cord. Then my plan is to be able to choose my song using the avic and then be able to switch to av1 and hear the same song with a visualiser. What do you think? I am waiting on an ipod cord now and i will need to purchase an xbox oh yeah it would be an xbox 360 of course. Let me know if you think it would work or have heard of anything similar.
