  1. So that problem was a pretty easy one to fix, I forgot to connect the remote wire to trigger the Monsoon amps for the stock system. Now my only real issue is with a bit of white noise unless the AV source is set to off. Any solution to this?
  2. I would try the old unit, but I'd have to rewrite the old harness back into it. I'm gonna try putting a small set of amplified speakers on the pre-outs to see if there is any output from the z130bt. Are there any settings that have to be changed to tell the nav unit to send the audio to the pre outs?
  3. I just tried upgrading my Pioneer Z2 nav to the Z130bt unit in my '08 Hummer H3. I'm using the same GMOS 04 module that has been working perfectly for the last 3 years with the Z2, but with the new unit I'm getting zero audio, no system tones from the radio and no music. I am still getting the standard tones from the car through the speakers. I've triple checked the rca connectors, and have checked the mute setting a hundred times.... Any thoughts??? Thanks.
  4. Sounds like a big waste of money if you have to be sitting still.
  5. On the AV select screen I see a shaded out selection for TV, what is required to get this to work? It's football season, and I spend a lot of time in the car on the weekends.
  6. Tried switching master/slave and changing boot sequence in the BIOS, worked for loading windows and making the system functional, however, HDDUNLOCK says " detected an additional device attached to the same cableas the drive you are unlocking." "Please remove additional device from the IDE cable and try again." How in the hell are you supposed to do that?! My motherboard has only 1 IDE connection.
  7. I have a toshiba drive, the original out of my Z2, that is locked. The suggested program, HDDUNLOCK.COM. sees the drive, but says that it cannot access it because it is connected as a slave drive and can only access those drives connected as a master. If I connect the drive as a master, then windows will obviously not boot. How do I unlock this drive?
  8. Is there any way to add music files to the hard drive while it's connected to my PC? I have about 1000 discs, and playing them all to record in the car will take the better part of the next administrations time in office. I'd like to just copy them onto the HD before putting it bad in the Z2 (upgraded to Z3). I'm not sure what format the avic software rips the CD's, or what type of file structure it uses.
  9. I recently purchased my Z2 with the express intentions of upgrading to the Z3 software. With the exceptional help of this forum I performed the upgrade with little difficulty. I tried the upgrade on 2 separate drives, an older toshiba 40g and a new hitachi 160g drive. The older drive has had no problems at all, a perfect upgrade. The hitachi 160g drive upgraded properly, but has the reboot problem every few minutes. My suggestion would be to find an older, smaller drive for this. I guess i got a little greedy for space for music storage . I'm wondering if anyone has tried to create
